MONDAY MENTORSHIP IN MINISTRY:
FULL-TIME PASTORS KILLED ANSWERS ASSEMBLY
PART-TIME PASTORS CAME TO RESURRECT IT:
FULL-TIME PASTORS KILLED ME:
PART-TIME PASTORS CAME TO RESURRECT ME:
THE WIVES OF SOME FULL-TIME PASTORS KILLED ME:
THE WIVES OF PART-TIME PASTORS CAME TO RESURRECT ME:
AS A FOUNDER KNOW WHEN YOUR YOUNG MINISTRY CANT SATISFY THE LONGING OF A PASTOR WITH FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
I ENGAGED 7 FULL-TIME PASTORS DURING THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF A YOUNG MINISTRY:
IT CAME WITH RESPONSIBILITIES THE YOUNG CHILD COULDN’T CARRY:
AND THEY ALL ABANDONED THE YOUNG CHILD AND WENT AWAY:
TODAY I HAVE 9 PART-TIME PASTORS THAT ARE WORKING AND PASTORING WITH ME:
THE CHURCH IS MORE HEALTHY AND VIBRANT:
NO STRESS OF ANY KIND:
I GAVE GOOD FLATS AND GOOD SALARIES TO FULL-TIME PASTORS UNDER ME:
IT WAS NOT STILL ENOUGH:
PART-TIME PASTORS ARE NOT PAID ANYTHING AND ARE NOT GIVEN ACCOMMODATIONS:
YET THEY USE THEIR MONEY TO DO THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY:
As I write to you now, our church administrator just told me that both Generating plants we use for church service are due for servicing.
A Part-time Pastor told him to call the Person servicing it, and that he will pay from his pocket.
Some Full-time Pastors can even take the money from you and don’t service it.
I placed the wife of a full-time Pastor on salary monthly. She still encourages her husband to go and do something better with his life.
A Part-time Pastors wife has not failed in giving me a special monthly allowance for over four years now.
This thing they call full-time Pastoring, only a few churches can survive it.
If you venture into it, when it is not yet time, you will have a ministry that is scattered into many parts.
Because for every full-time pastor who leaves you, your members will be forced to believe in different stories that are not true.
Some may have to go with the Pastor whose stories agree with their feelings towards you.
The time you would have used in spreading, you will use it in managing different crisis.
NOW THE FIVE CHURCHES THAT SHOULD NOT GO INTO FULL TIME PASTORING:
1. THE CHURCH THAT GOD HAS NOT COMMANDED TO GO INTO FULL TIME PASTORING AT THE JUNIOR PASTORS LEVEL:
Sometimes this thing looks like a mandate.
With all the errors in some churches, the full-time Pastors are well behaved.
Because God commanded it.
Always follow the move of God so as not to suffer the evil moves of men. Don’t copy full-time pastoring, you must be sure it is the will of God for you and the ministry.
2. THE CHURCH THAT DID NOT RAISE THOSE PASTORS TO BE USED FOR FULL TIME PASTORING: A Full-time Pastor must be raised in the house. Born in your own house.
In Genesis 14 verse 14, Abraham sent his servants that were born and raised in his own house.
This group of people carry the same spirit as you. And they understand your ministry culture.
All this carry-over from a former church or a big church in town, will not work out, because you want to take them through a process they have outgrown. Unless God commands it.
3. THE CHURCH THAT AFTER PAYING GOOD SALARIES AND GIVING GOOD ACCOMMODATIONS, STILL, DON’T HAVE MEMBERS THAT ARE GOOD GIVERS TO THEIR PASTORS:
Sometimes it is not your efforts as a Founder that keep Pastors around you, but the little benefits they get by being around you.
When a congregation has not caught the giving spirit, only Full-time pastors that can survive with a salary can survive such a system.
As a branch Pastor in the year 2007, my salary was just twenty-five thousand naira only with a two-bedroom flat.
That same year I was blessed with three different cars by members of the church I was pastoring within six months of Pastoring them.
That is the joy of earning a small salary in a big church.
The people are trained to give.
If your church is not yet mature enough to understand giving to their prophet and Pastors, full-time Assistant Pastoring may not work out.
So train them to give.
And the senior Pastor must have a heart large enough to see Members bless assistant Pastors without him rushing to investigate the blessings or preaching against them.
4. THE CHURCH THAT DOESN’T HAVE A POLICY GUIDING THE OPERATIONS OF FULL-TIME PASTORS SHOULD NOT GO INTO FULL TIME PASTORING:
Only God and a laydown policy can keep these groups of people.
Let them read and study it and sign documents binding them to the policies guiding their stewardship under the system for which they voluntarily decide to work.
That way excesses and abuse will be minimized.
If you are going this way ensure points number one and two above are well taken care of.
Only a man that is raised by you, and also sees a future with you, will agree to sign anything with you.
Those who refuse to sign allow them to go.
Those who sign and violate should be punished accordingly. I know the number of policies some of us sign, just to stay faithful to our Boss and father as full-time Pastors.
5. THE CHURCH THAT IS PASTORED BY A FOUNDER WHO CAN NOT BARK AND BITE WHERE NECESSARY MUST NOT BRING IN FULL-TIME PASTORS:
Sometimes I wonder how fathers and mentors in the faith can function on the altar when there is a pastor or accountant kept by them in the prison who stole church money.
But that is the heart of a man who can build a system that will last.
You will always forgive but allow the law to take its place.
If you know you are not good at disciplinary matters just work with Part-time Pastors.
They go to their work and use their spare time to serve you.
Where you want to go into full-time Pastoring, be sure this person is raised by you, you have a structure that forbids him from suffering in the name of full time, and you have a policy they must keep.
And you are ready to use force and law where necessary.
IN CONCLUSION, SOMETIMES IT IS EVEN BETTER FOR A PART-TIME PASTOR TO BECOME A FULL-TIME PASTOR BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY PROVED HIS LOYALTY AT A CERTAIN LEVEL TO YOU AND TO THE SYSTEM.
IF A PART-TIME PASTOR UNDER ME IS COMING INTO FULL-TIME, I WILL GLADLY ACCEPT. BECAUSE THEY HAVE SERVED WITH ME FROM DAY ONE TILL DATE.
May God help his servants at all levels.
