Bishop David Abioye at Dunamis Conference: EXPLORING THE RICHES OF GOD’S GRACE (Mp3)

Spread the love

WHEN I STARTED FOLLOWING BISHOP OYEDEPO, THEY WERE CALLING ME OYEDEPO’S BOY.
THEY DON’T CALL ME LIKE THAT AGAIN. THEY NOW CALL ME OYEDEPO’S RIGHT HAND.
‘BOY, BOY’, BECAME A CARRIER OF GRACE.

MANY PEOPLE IN MINISTRY TODAY ARE JUST TRYING THINGS: “WE WILL TRY TO BUILD 100 (THOUSAND) SEATING CAPACITY CHURCH” AND THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SWEATING.

YOU CANNOT COPY A MAN UNDER GRACE. YOU ARE REDUCED TO TIME AND CHANCES; GUESS WORK; TRIAL AND ERROR WHEN GRACE IS NO MORE AT WORK IN YOU.

SOMEONE TOLD ME THIS EVENING I WAS LOOKING HANDSOME WHEN WE WENT TO PRAY FOR SOMEONE IN THE HOSPITAL. I REPLIED, “WHAT ELSE DO YOU EXPECT?” I DON’T CARRY LOAD ON MY HEAD.

OVER 90 PER CENT OF MY PRAYER IN LIFE IS ASKING FOR GRACE.
DON’T YOU SEE OUR PASTOR HERE? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY CHURCHES THAT ARE IN THIS MINISTRY, BOTH IN NIGERIA AND ACROSS THE GLOBE? YET EVERY TIME, PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE IS SMILING AND DANCING LIKE A BABY.

-Bishop David Abioye
Day 4, Evening Session
Kingdom Power and Glory Word Conference 2021

*Grace brings about divine advantage for you. Just like a jack is to a car, that is the advantage that grace gives you.
*When grace is at work, sweat is eliminated and sweet is increased.
*Grace is divine make up. It covers your errors and colours your efforts.
*When grace is at work, you look so simple, so restful even when you carry so much responsibility.
*You need to know the right thing to pray for. Praying for power is settling for less. Moses never prayed for power, yet he was an embodiment of power.

The theme of this celebration time is Exceeding Abundant Grace and it will answer in your life.

Quickly tonight, permit me to take the topic:

EXPLORING THE RICHES OF GOD’S GRACE .

Exploring The Riches of God’s Grace mp3 By Bishop David Abioye

Ephesians 1:7 – “…according to the RICHES of his grace.” Grace has content, grace is the container of all redemptive riches.
Ephesians 2:7 – “…exceeding riches of his grace…”
Ephesian 3:8 – no matter how less you are when grace comes, it turns you into greatness.
-Someone is here tonight, you look unrecognized, grace will bring you to limelight.

Take note of the word, ‘explore’, you don’t explore ordinary things. You explore precious things because they are not on the surface, they are hidden.

Grace is so precious that God did not leave it on the surface. This is the reason for the topic, ‘Exploring.’ Precious minerals such as gold, oil are never found on the surface, they will require equipment to dig down. You have diggers for gold and for other such minerals from the rock; you have drillers for the oil. It is in the process of exploring that you find, that is why as you are going to see later, grace is to be found. We have several scriptures that talk about finding grace. You got to do something to find it.

Grace is the fountain from which all spiritual virtues are drawn. Many of us have been looking for things that make us settle for less. Until you find grace, you don’t find any redemptive treasure.

The number one thing to find is grace. It is the most valuable, the most vital, it is the core, every other thing is a plus. It is the anchor on which other virtues are hanging. Grace is the tree which produces the branches where you get your fruits from. A branch cannot boast without the stump of the tree.

The survival of any branch is dependent on the tree.
For instance there are people who are busy looking for power. It is alright to look for power, but getting power is settling for less. Power can be resisted by the enemy but grace cannot be withstood. That is why you discover that men of grace look like unlikely men to get things done. They don’t look like it but grace confirms them so.

Look at David for instance: his father didn’t believe him, to the extent he didn’t bring him on the day that Samuel was looking for a king in his house. He sent him to the bush, “you are not the kind we are looking for.” He didn’t have power.
He went to the war front and his brothers told him, “what are you looking for here?” He stood before Saul, Saul said, “you are not capable.”
And he stood Goliath and Goliath said, “Haba, why do you want to kill yourself?”
David stood with the unlikely tool in his hand. You see, when you are engraced, everything works in your hand.

When you are operating by grace, everything works in your hand. Little stone, little sling, little strength, little boy and grace came upon David; the giant could not withstand the grace. After David returned from killing Goliath, Saul said, “who is this stripling? Look at him, so slim a boy.” He didn’t look like it, but grace confirms him for it.

Gracious people don’t look like they can perform. Why? Grace does not make noise to generate news. Some years back, one man came to look for me. According to him, he read a book of mine, a medical doctor, had eye problem and got healed. So he was very curious, he came to look for me. This was about time for me to close and they mentioned there was somebody at the front desk waiting to see me.
I came down from the lift and the receptionist said, “that is the man you are looking for.” The man looked at me from up and down, “are you the one?” That was the question he asked me. I said, “yes, I am the one.”
He said: Are you sure?
I walked away from him because if he is not sure I am the one, I am sure of myself. I didn’t look like it. Don’t try to look like somebody who can do something. You are not the candidate that will get the thing done.

Some other day, I had a privilege to pray for a woman and God healed her. She told the husband, “Let’s go see this man.” They came to our home and sat down in the sitting room. I was called, I sat with them and the man asked the wife, “Where is the man we are waiting for?”
I always enjoy not looking like someone that can do something because according to Paul, when I am weak, then I am strong. Till today Sir, my beloved brother Paul, when I am going to the altar, I feel empty, light, incapable but when I get there! You know why? Until you give up, grace does not take over. Until you are empty, grace does not fill you. The reason why many of us are not experiencing the grace of God is we are too full of ourselves.

WHAT IS GRACE?
1. Grace is the fullness of God that makes man complete.
Listen to me, power is tangible and measurable, but grace is the embodiment of God. Power is a thing, a virtue from God.
Grace is not virtue, grace is the person of God. How do I know? Describing Jesus Christ in Colossians chapter 2 verses 9 and 10.
“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” – Colossians 2:9. Jesus came as an embodiment of God.
John 1:16 – let’s look at how Jesus was described there. The fulness of Jesus, have all we received, grace for grace. Jesus is the fulness of grace from which we draw.

Power is measurable, but grace is immeasurable. Power is tangible and describable but grace is indescribable. That is why when you see grace at work in a place, you can’t explain the happenings there.
How do you explain that a ministry that started 25 years ago is at where it is today? Grace! Indescribable. That is why we should all go for grace because that will turn you to an amazing wonder anywhere you go to, including yourself.

2. Grace can be defined as the excellency of power at work in earthen vessels – 2 Corinthians 4:7
If you look at excellency, power: it talks about power plus. Grace can be defined as power plus.
Zechariah 4:1-7. The earlier verses, the golden candle, with golden sticks, everywhere beautiful, but there was no performance. He said, for these golden sticks to perform, it not by might nor by power but my spirit says the Lord of hosts – Zechariah 4:6
What is that spirit? So grace is the excellency of power – Zechariah 4:7
We have to graduate from power to grace
-I see somebody graduating to that level tonight.

3. It is the believer’s spiritual advantage in the adventure of life.
In Science, we were taught about mechanical advantage. What is it about? A very simple illustration. Many of us seated here have what they call jack in your car. The little jack is used to jack up the big car body and everybody can just use the jack. Very easy to use. You don’t need much energy, even a woman that is pregnant can use the jack to get the body of the vehicle up.
That is what grace is. It is our spiritual advantage whereby little you and little me can do great things. It is a spiritual advantage whereby people who thought you can do nothing, find you doing what they cannot do.
Just like that little jack brings about mechanical advantage, grace brings about divine advantage for you.
Zerubbabel had no power to hold the mountain but when grace came upon him, the mountain couldn’t stand again – Zechariah 4:7
-Do you know that from today, as long as you depend on grace, every mountain before you will clear off.

That is where Paul the Apostle said, “I am what I am by the grace of God.” I could imagine that Paul just finished a crusade and newsmen came to him, “What is happening Paul? What is the secret of all these things you are doing? The blind eyes are opening, crippled are walking, the lame jumping, many people are saved, multitudes are gathered in your crusade.”
And Paul said, “let me tell you the story, I am what I am by the grace of God. I have divine advantage.”
Grace takes over when you hand over your life to Him.
-I see grace turning you to a man of wonder from being a wanderer.

WHAT ARE THE RICHES THAT WE DRAW FROM GRACE?
In several scriptures we see a lot of virtues connected to grace and the mother of it all is our salvation.
1. Ephesians 2:8 – The number one branch of grace is salvation. Number one attachment or number one riches of grace is salvation.
John 1:16-17
The beginning of (the) journey to grace is salvation. Redemption in Christ.
2. Truth – John 1:14
What is truth? Revelation of His Word. It is grace that gives us revelation, not diligent study. Diligent study is a means but not the end.

It is what grace shows you or teaches you that makes you outstanding in revelation. Paul was an erudite in knowledge but he kept talking about the things grace taught him.
1 Corinthians 4:4
At your spare time, read from Ephesians chapter 3, how that Paul began to talk about the revelations, the insight that God gave him, to the extent that he described it as abundance of revelation given to me.
If you are graceful, you will be light-full. You will be revelation full.
My co-labourer, Pastor Paul will admit that the things God gives him the privilege to teach here are by revelation that comes from grace. To all of us, great Ministers of the Gospel here, it’s good to develop knowledge but don’t rely on your knowledge. Grace!

When grace fills your lips, it takes over your utterances. I hear many people share testimonies a lot of time and they would say, “they heard me say”, but I can’t remember that I said it. Grace and truth.
You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free – John 8:32

3. Rest or Peace
Everywhere you find in scriptures, grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God – 2 Peter 1:2
Everywhere grace goes, peace follows. You cannot be truly graceful and not be restful. I hear people tell me all the time, “you are always looking calm.” And that is the truth of the matter. I don’t have any sleepless night, I sleep like a baby. I sleep like Church members, except I stay awake, doing my work or praying or studying. I am very restful!!
This evening, coming this way, we branched to pray for someone in the hospital and somebody saw me, “Man, you are looking handsome.”
I said, “what else do you expect?” I don’t carry load on my head. You see when grace is at work, you look so simple, so restful even when you carry so much responsibility.
Don’t you see our Pastor here? Do you know how many Churches that are in this Ministry, both in Nigeria and across the globe, yet ever smiling and dancing like a baby.
God’s Servant, Bishop Oyedepo said, somebody met him sometimes back and said, “sir, do you have problems at all? Does problems come to you?”
He said: Maybe it came, I didn’t know.
-That will be your story from now.
Put your hand on your heart:
-I decree grace to give you rest right now.
-From now, you will be smiling.
“Do they hear what we hear in town at all?”
We are hearing what you are hearing but grace has not allowed it to find a place in our hearts. Rest!!!
Exodus 33:14
Grace is the presence of God – Exodus 33:13
Let me quickly stop here, I checked through Moses prayer, there was no where he prayed for power. You need to know the right thing to pray for. Praying for power is settling for less. It’s like praying for content without the container.
Moses never prayed for power, yet he was an embodiment of power.
What did he pray for? “If I may find grace in your sight”
And the Lord answered him, “My presence” or rather, “My grace will go with you and it will be expressed by giving you rest.”

Over 90 per cent of my prayer in life is asking for grace. Because when grace comes, it will come with its companions which include:
Revelation: Showing you what to do at every point in time
And rest of mind.

4. Glory – Psalm 84:11
To the extent that no good thing will be withheld from you who are walking in grace and God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things and in everything, you will lack nothing.
Getting back to Moses again, he saw the glory of God from praying to find grace in God’s sight.

5. Power
I don’t want to be called a powerful man, I prefer to be called an engraced man, because power is limited, power can be short circuited. Power can be attacked, power can be stopped. It is not by not by might nor by power but by my spirit which comes via the grace that I release upon you.
You cannot predict a gracious man, you can’t measure him, you can’t tell the extent to which he can work because God is the One at work in him.
Solomon after a while, he began with God’s grace in Proverbs, then in Ecclesiastes, he had backslidden, he went down to power and after his long journey of looking for other ways to make it happen in Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 11, he said, “then I returned…that the race is not to the swift.”
Ecclesiastes 9:11
He abandoned grace, the race became terrifying to him. When grace departs from you, you are reduced to chance and time. That is, you will be working by probability, you will be working by guess.
“Let me try this!!” – That is what many people in Ministry are doing today. They are trying things.
“We will try to build 100 seating capacity Church” and that is why they are sweating.
When grace is at work, sweat is eliminated and sweet is increased. You cannot copy a man under grace.
Time and chances; guess work; trial and error is what you are reduced into when grace is no more at work in you.
-May you not be reduced from grace.

Whereas power makes effort, grace makes easy. Grace will turn your life and destiny into auto gear. I am sure a number of us have auto gear vehicles where you can cruise. It is there in the airplane.

Once you climb to a level, you climb up with power, but you stay up with grace.
Power changes gear, but grace makes auto change. You just find yourself changing and changing without sweating, without anybody recognizing or being able to trace how you arrived at the change.

I am a witness to the humble beginning of this Ministry. Like play, like play, the ministry started climbing from batcher, from bare floor to where it is today. Nobody can explain it. Nobody can make a boast that, “were it not for me, this ministry will not be where it is today!”
Why? Auto cruise. Change of gear, without anybody hearing the noise.
If you change the manual gear, you will hear noise, sometimes the gear reacting, “no I am not going.”
But when it is auto: Phew! You say, “but we thought that is where they are.”
Phew! You don’t come back to meet a man operating by grace where you left him. No he is changing gear. Grace makes you noiseless but news-full.

6. Beauty – The Bible describes it as ornament of grace.
Ornaments are decorations to make beauty of a thing come out. It will bring a touch to your raw power.
Proverbs 1:9, Proverbs 4:9
Ornaments are used for beauty, for you decoration. You need for your destiny to be decorated and it is grace that gets that done.
If you like, you can call grace, ‘divine makeup.’ I know women understand what I am talking about here. You stand before your mirror and touch the contour (on your) face and the forehead. By the time you come out, men, you are already decorated. Decoration means something that was not there but that was put there.

Grace is our divine make up.

Grace covers our errors and colours our efforts.
Make up: where you have certain things that you don’t want people to notice. Am I trying women?
That is what grace does. Grace makes the difference in a believer’s life as painting does on a building.
This gigantic building we are in today, will never have had beauty without the paint, the ornaments. If you see this building from outside, the first attraction is the roof: coloured.

Then you look at the surroundings, the ornaments, the paints selection. Builders will know what I am talking about. You can build a small house and have it so decorated that it becomes a reference point.
That they will tell you, “let me give you the description of my house,” somebody would say, “as you are going, you will see one building like this with good colour” and that is how people will begin to describe you when grace is upon your life.
You see what I am talking about on the screen: the lighting, the edges of the building (Glory Dome). Grace brings forth the glory of your labour. Grace announces you for people to see you.
You may be having a small business but when grace is upon it, it becomes the subject matter among several people.
Beauty, colour, publicity. Jesus was in the carpenter’s shop for 30 years, nobody recognized him but when grace came upon him as he returned from the mountain, the Bible says, “they wondered at the gracious words that came out of his mouth” – Luke 4:20
Destiny is reduced to mere decoration for absence or inadequate measure of grace.
Just like that golden stick in Zechariah chapter 4, it was reduced to mere decoration until grace…
Grace brings perfection to our lives by covering our errors and colouring our efforts.
That is why preachers who believe in their messages end in frustration. His oratory, very powerful. The references he makes, very wonderful but no grace on his lips. What blesses is not necessarily what you know to teach, but grace that is upon your lips.
Business people: what distinguishes is grace upon your life.
-Every business person here, beginning from today, grace will be noticed in your life.
Don’t you see when somebody is doing extraordinarily, they say, “Oh, he has the grace.”
-Grace to make you perform, beyond expectation, receive it now in the name of Jesus.

Let me begin to close.
HOW DO YOU GAIN ACCESS TO THIS UNLIMITED GRACE?
1. The qualifier is humility.
I will not talk much on that, our spiritual father and perhaps other men of God including our chief host may have talked much about this.
Humility – James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5-6; 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
Grace is the entitlement of every humble person
Humility is the acknowledgment of your weakness, foolishness, inability, incompetence and non-efficiency. Your excuse for not being able to do it is the reason why grace enables you to do it Self must die for grace to be full. Self must be on break for grace to break forth
Humility means being able to be corrected
Humility will first attract mercy – mercy will look beyond your fault for grace to find your need
Hebrews 4:16
Mercy will clean you up before grace can do its work
Mercy cancels punishment for grace to do the punishment

2. Engaging in Word search – Acts 14:3; Acts 20:32; 2 Peter 1:2

3. Engaging in prayers regularly – Acts 4:29-33; Zechariah 4:7
Grace is the entitlement of every humble person. Pray prayers of submission more than anything

4. Walk in the company of gracious men – Philippians 1:7
God is the owner of grace but He has placed certain measure of it on individuals. If you don’t believe in them, you cannot access it. period! There are carriers of grace.
-May we recognize them.
-May we link up with them.
-May we partake of their grace.
We are not surprised to see this large system going on here. Why? My brother, the one whom God has set as head of this ministry has learnt to connect with the graces of men ahead of him. That’s why the speed is here.
I want to admonish that nobody should leave this celebration time without consciously linking to the grace at work in this place.
The builders’ grace, the sweat free grace, the grace for accomplishment with speed.
-Somebody is receiving it right now, in the precious name of Jesus.
When you link with the grace of God upon men, the way they don’t struggle you don’t struggle.

People look at me and say, “you are Oyedepo’s embodiment”. When I started following him, they were calling me Oyedepo’s boy. Boy, boy. They don’t call me like that again. They now call me Oyedepo’s right hand. ‘Boy, boy’, became a carrier of grace.
-You are carrying the grace of God from this place.
-You are receiving grace tonight.
