BARTIMAEUS WAS CALLED BLIND BARTIMAEUS EVEN THOUGH ‘BLIND’ WAS NEITHER HIS FIRST NAME NOR SURNAME.
HOWEVER, HIS SITUATION BECAME HIS IDENTITY.
NO MATTER HOW THEY MIGHT HAVE DESCRIBED YOU BY YOUR SITUATION, THE SAME WAY JESUS CHANGED THE NAME OF BLIND BARTIMAEUS, HE IS CHANGING YOUR OWN STORY.
YOU WILL NOT NEED TO TELL PEOPLE YOU HAVE ENCOUNTERED GOD ON THIS MOUNTAIN, THEY WILL SEE IT.
SPECIFIC DEMAND WILL ALWAYS RESULT IN SPECIFIC ANSWER.

Our Father, we thank You. Blessed be Your holy name, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
I count it a great privilege again this morning as given by God, my father this morning to bring quickly the word of exhortation.

ENGAGING THE WONDERS OF SPECIFIC DEMANDS ON OUR PRAYER ALTAR

We began looking at this subject since Monday: Engaging the Wonder of Specific Demands on the Prayer Altar.

Please let’s be reminded that the altar of prayer is the altar of change, transformation and transfiguration.

In the place of prayer, man is changed, man is transformed. In the place of prayer, situations are changed and situations are transformed.

2 Corinthians 3:18 – We all beholding Him in the place of prayer are changed, we are transformed, we are transfigured.
Please hear this, this morning: on the altar of prayer, situations are altered in our favour. We move from the realms of sickness to health, from the realms of poverty to prosperity, from the realms of failure to success.
-Well, I have got good news for someone here this morning, on this altar of prayer today, God will alter every negative situation.
But to maximize our engagement on the prayer altar, we must engage in specific demands, making specific demands on the prayer altar. Jesus gave several examples on the potency of specific demands on the prayer altar.
Mark 10:46-52
Jesus was leaving Jericho and there was a man called blind Bartimaeus and this man was crying after Jesus, “thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” He was crying out, desiring a change of story. Every time I look at this episode in scripture, I begin to ponder why was he called blind Bartimaeus, “was his first name blind and his last name Bartimaeus?”
But I discovered that his condition became his description, his situation became his identity.
I don’t know who came here this morning or who came on this mountain and your situation has become your description. Peradventure, they call you barren man or barren woman; sick woman or sick man.

Peradventure, they call you single girl or single boy, I have got good news for you:
-The same way Jesus changed the name of blind Bartimaeus, He is changing your own story this morning.

Bartimaeus was called by Jesus in (Mark chapter 10) verse 47, Jesus stood still and He asked that he should be called. He asked him, “what wilt thou that I may do for you?”
“That I might receive my sight” – Mark 10:51.

Specific demand and that was it. The man that was once called blind was now a seeing man. No one could call him blind Bartimaeus. His identity had changed.
-For somebody, as you are leaving this mountain, your identity also will change.
Also through scriptures, we see several other examples where specific demand was engaged on the prayer altar.
Ezra demanded divine direction through prayer and fasting; God granted him.
Ezra 8:21-23
“To seek of Him a right way for us and for our little ones” – Ezra 8:21
The purpose for the engagement was clear. They desired a right way to go.
Someone might have come on this mountain demanding from God which way to go concerning his or her destiny.
Ezra 8:23
Hear the good news, “He was intreated of us”: that means He answered our prayers, solutions came for us.
-There is somebody here, you will not return without your testimony on this mountain.
We saw another example of the man, King David. David was a man that never lost a battle as a king.

Every battle this man fought, he won gallantly. He was a man who enjoyed divine direction and this direction guaranteed victory over every battle of life.
An episode came in 1 Samuel chapter 30 verses 6 to 9

1 Samuel 30:6-9
David was greatly distressed, his wives had been carried away as captives. The children, his assets, everything taken away by the adversary and David was greatly distressed.
Then he besought the face of the Lord
1 Samuel 30:17-20
David approached the adversaries and the Bible says, “And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day and none of the adversaries escaped.”
The Bible says, “there escaped not a man of them” – 1 Samuel 30:17
Not one of them escaped save 400 who rode on camels and fled
David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken away – 1 Samuel 30:18
I have got good news for somebody here this morning:
-Everything the enemy has stolen from you, you shall recover this time.
1 Samuel 30:19 – And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil nor any that they had taken to them.
The Bible said, “David recovered all.”
He engaged for direction: “Will I pursue them?”
The Word of the Lord came, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and recover all.”
Specific demand; specific answer.
1 Samuel 30:8
Every time we engage with specific demand, we receive specific answer from God.
1 Samuel 30:20 – David returned from that engagement with everything the devil stole from him.
-For somebody here, upon your return after these 21 days, the difference will be clear.
-Watch this: you will not need to tell people you have encountered God on this mountain, they will see it.
As I begin to close this morning, we must continue to engage our territory taking God with specific demands in the place of prayers. We must begin to engage this territory taking God with specific demands; not ambiguous demands, not generalized demands: specifics.
Deuteronomy 2:24
“…behold I have given into thine hand”
– God is saying everything you desire for 2022, He has given it into thine hand.
Deuteronomy 2:36
From point to point, there was not one city too strong for us. The Lord our God delivered all unto us.
Hear this, the good news this morning, the territories that are allocated to everyone of us, God will deliver to us.
-There will be people taking over the territory of their businesses this year, in the name of Jesus Christ.
-Watch it, as a Commission, we are taking over territories.
The prophetic direction among others for the year 2022 has it that we will take over territories, take over nations.
-This Word will find practical fulfillment this year in our lives.
Prayers: Go before God right now, making specific demands on the prayer answering God this morning. Calling upon His name: the territory taking God, the territory subduing God. Pray this morning, He has given into our hands: territories, business, career, taking over territories on the harvest field, taking over territories.
Thank You precious Father, blessed be Your holy name. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed
