Simi to Adekunle Gold: I love you my boy - P.M. News

Scripture: 1 Samuel 20: 16. So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David’s enemies.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! In continuation of what we started yesterday concerning person to person covenant, we discovered so many believers are fond of making and breaking covenants as exemplifies through the life of children of Israel and the Gibeonite. Today we shall see another example.

Examples of person to person covenant:

1. Israel and Gibeon (details in yesterday’s meditation)

2. David and Jonathan (1Sam.20;4-17)! Jonathan was a son of King Saul who shouldn’t have died with his father but his loyalty made him to die along side his father. Meanwhile before his death he protected his posterity through covenant! The Bible said:

1 Samuel 20: 16. So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David’s enemies.

So when David emerged as king, he remembered the covenant he made with his friend Jonathan and said:

2 Samuel 9: 1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?

It was on this premise that Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s son was favoured and granted access to the palace, dining with the king.

Beloved, this is what the Holy Ghost is saying: “don’t allow the death of your covenant partner to make you terminate or alter the terms of the covenant.”

There are so many families that created problems for their children as they tried to abort the covenant they went into with their friends when he was alive.

History abound of people who had a covenant with their friends to take care of their landed property and ensure his children is adequately taken care of, but as soon as their friends died they quickly threw away the children that were
committed to their trust and dispossessed them of their fathers inheritance.

If you are one of such persons please repent and return the property to the children. Many uncles are fond of this, taking over their brother’s properties and leaving the children stranded.

This is very wrong because you are creating problem for your unborn generations. It brings curses to the family that is doing that.

David, is a man to emulate when it has to do with covenant practice! Even when Ziba, the servant to the house of Saul was trying to dissuade David by saying the only son Jonathan has is lame (2Sam.9:3)!

Meaning “king David don’t bother yourself about Mephibosheth, he doesn’t deserve to come to the palace!” Yet David insisted on bringing him.

This is why I want to announce that that third voice that is speaking against you and your progress in life be silenced permanently in the name of Jesus. That voice that is kicking against your open door, I command it to be silenced in the name of Jesus.

How does covenant between persons become a pathway to your blessing?

1. It is by prompting those who are to help you to help you.
2. It is by becoming a voice that defends you even when you are not there to defend yourself.
3. It is by offering you a job you are not qualified for!
4. It is by placing you in a place where things work perfectly for you.

Beloved, covenant indeed is a pathway to the blessing, if the covenant partners are faithful.

3. Marriage covenant
To be continued tomorrow!

Remember this; Heaven is real and hell is real! To spend eternity with God or the devil is up to you. Make the right choice today.

Prayer points:
– Father thank your word to me today.
– Lord I receive grace to walk in the covenant for my blessing in Jesus name.

Prophetic Declaration:
– I prophesy Divine judgement on anyone who is trying to speak evil of you before your destiny helpers in the name of Jesus.
– The God that remembered Mephibosheth and took him from Lodebar the land of the forgotten to the palace, do same for you this period in the name of Jesus.

From your brother Alex
God bless you real good.
