Scripture : Psalm 111: 10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Since the beginning of the month we have been considering, wisdom for all round success!

The Wisdom for all round success which of course is divine wisdom is not gotten on the street! Not even with man!

Today, we seek to explore the origin of such wisdom.

The Bible which is also referred to as the compendium of wisdom, never leaves us in the dark as per the origin of wisdom. He presented to us a series of questions that pointed out the origin of wisdom:

Job 28: 20. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? 21. Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air. 22.

Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears. 23. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. 28. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

The long discussion was rounded up by saying “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom”! Again our anchor scripture has this to say:

Psalm 111: 10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: …

If we should marry the two scriptures together, we can simply deduce the following:
1. Wisdom comes from God.
2. Your fear in relating with God is directly proportional to the wisdom of God at work in your life.
3. Wisdom is birthed in you the day you start living your life in the fear of God.

4. Wisdom begins with the fear of God and is maintaiin with the fear of God. The day you stop living in the fear of God, wisdom and understanding starts exiting your life.
5. when you learn to fear God, wisdom will begin to grow in you.

This is exactly what happens the moment you make Jesus Christ the Fountain of wisdom, the Lord of your life! It means, you have taken heed to the call of wisdom (Prov. 8:1)

What then is the fear of God?

The fear of God does not mean to be scared of God or afraid of who God is! The fear of God means;

1. To stand in awe of God. To stand in awe means a strong feeling of fear or respect and also wonder for God:

Let all the earth FEAR the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world STAND IN AWE OF HIM! (Psalm 33:8).

Beloved, do you fear God when you stand in disrespect to your Creator? Do you fear God when talking to God and at the same time talking to man via your phone? It is time for us to evaluate our fear of God.

If you have regards for God you will not steal from that which is tagged God’s money! Nobody will ever dare to touch the sacrifice kept on any shrine that is meant for the devil, yet people steal on the altar of God.

There are instances where people fornicate inside a church building a place dedicated to the worship of God and commit all manners of atrocities in church! That certainly is not a show of fear of God. The fear of God is to stand in awe of Him! Deep reference for Him!

2.To have an exalted view of God. To see God in all His glory and then respond to Him appropriately. Our response to this exalted view of God is an attitude of worship!

An attitude of absolute surrender! If you find it difficult to praise God, prostrate or kneel down or roll on the floor as your response to the exalted view of God, your fear of God is questionable:

You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! (Psalm 22:23).

Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real, the decision for eternity begins now!

Prayer points:

– Father thank you for your word to me today,
– Lord, I receive grace to fear you all the days of my life in Jesus name.

Prophetic Declaration :

– I prophesy the release of the reverential fear of God upon you now in the name of Jesus.
-That which you must do that will trigger wisdom, receive the grace to do it now in Jesus name.

From your brother Alex
God bless you.
