A REVIVAL COMES EVERY 7-10 YEARS HISTORICALLY, EVERYONE OF US IS SUPPOSED TO BE PART OF SEVEN TO EIGHT MAJOR MOVES OF GOD IN OUR LIFE TIME.
AS A CHILD I WATCHED AS MANY CRIPPLED STOOD UP FROM THEIR WHEELCHAIRS AND WALKED WHILE KATHRYN KUHLMAN MINISTERED
– Dr. Roberts Liardon, Author of God’s Generals at Dunamis International Gospel Centre IMFFC 2021 Day Four, Morning Session.
* The greatest preacher I ever saw was not a man, it was a woman who had red hair and talked funny, her name was Kathryn Kuhlman
*If I never was in another service with a gifted person, I could still get all my miracles by faith. If I never showed up in a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting, Benny Hinn meeting and Bonnke crusade I could still get my healing because I have been taught in a life of faith that you can use yourself to get what you need. If you depend on a gifted person you will not have a life of victory.
Pastor Paul gave a great message this morning, it is good to sit and listen to another preach the gospel. That is one of the hardest things for a minister to sit and listen to another preach the gospel but if you don’t get fed, you will end up doing things that are not right.
I want to talk about things I have seen in my lifetime with the different generals.
I grew up in a Christian family, I have never had a time away from God. I have always been in the house of God. My family were participants in the moves of God in their life time.
A revival comes every 7-10 years historically. So if that timetable stays true, in your life time you can be a part of seven to eight major moves of God before you graduate to heaven. Most people are only part of the revival that got them saved and they stay there. Some moved to a second because they needed healing or money or something else from God. Most people only enjoy one to two revival movements in their life when it can be more.
The greatest preacher I ever saw was not a man, it was a woman who had red hair and talked funny. Her name was Kathryn Kuhlman. I met her as a boy. She is a standard by which we judge healing ministries of today.
Kathryn Kuhlman came to the town where I lived in Tulsa. I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1966 in what we call the charismatic revival.
Miss Kathryn Kuhlman was at the heart of that revival. We were in three meetings where Miss Kuhlman was speaking and after the building was full and the doors shut. It would take about one hour to pack 25,000 people outside. People will wait from 10pm till 7am to see her.
She was not the greatest preacher in the world, you don’t ever hear people talk about a Kathryn Kuhlman sermon, they talk about the healings and miracles. There was a row for wheel chairs, hundreds of wheel chairs. I sat directly behind the wheel chairs and I saw a Catholic nun being rolled up in a wheel chair by some other Catholic nuns.
Kathryn came out and you could feel the electricity, of what she carried went from the pulpit to the balcony. She would just talk a little bit and cry a little bit and all of a sudden that power will start moving.
I saw a wind blow across the wheelchair session and with no exaggeration, about three crippled people jump off their wheelchairs and ran off. I saw the Catholic nun pulled up from her wheelchair and took off walking normally. I saw it with my own eyes.
As I got older, I began to ask the questions , “why weren’t more of the people in the wheelchairs healed, why out of over four hundred people only about fifty were healed, all others went back home in their wheelchairs. She never gloried in what happened, she was always looking for ways to get more people healed.
God gave Kathryn Kuhlman three major gifts – God gave her a real strong flow with the word of knowledge, He gave her also the current of consistency in prophecies and the working of miracles. A gift does not guarantee everybody’s miracle but the law of faith does.
When you see gift ministering like Oral Roberts, Kathryn and Benny those are gift ministries and they have miracles and they testify of it.
But like Miss Kuhlman they wonder why there is not more. In all of my life I have never seen a gift healing everybody, they only heal a few.
Jack Coe was a very gifted healing minister but he would tell those who didn’t get healed that they didn’t have faith.
That is not completely true.
Kathryn went to see Jack Coe and was thrilled by the miracles but was extremely offended by his accusing the sick person who didn’t get healed of not having faith.
Sometimes that is true but Jesus took mustard seed faith as great faith.
She decided that she would never allow anyone to think that in any of her services even if they were babes in Christ, because Jesus loves them all.
Most ministers will only see one wheel chair miracle in their lifetime but to see fifty people get up and walk again blows your brain to a place that it can’t comprehend.
Her heart did not rejoice over the sixty that got healed, her heart stayed broken over the others that didn’t get healed and she thought that may be she could have done something different to get the other healed.
There is something better than a gift ministry, what the Bible calls “by faith”.
Faith guarantees in a believer what they are believing they can receive.
A gift ministry hits, so it may hit you or it might not hit you.
There is no absoluteness like a life of faith.
Most people do not develop a life of faith so they go to gifted people to give them free, quick, easy and go home and be happy.
If I never was in another service with a gifted person, I could still get all my miracles by faith.
If I never showed up in another Kathryn Kuhlman meeting, Benny Hinn meeting and Bonke crusade I could still get my healing because I have been taught in a life of faith that you can use yourself to get what you need. If you depend on a gifted person you will not have a life of victory.
