Topic: Keep Growing Spiritually

_As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Peter 2:2-3_
As God’s children, we need to keep growing spiritually every day. Many people don’t know how important this is, they think all that matters is just confessing Jesus as Lord, and reading the Bible, but you can be reading the Bible and still never grow to maturity spiritually.
We need to understand that, no one is born again a matured man in Christ, everyone is born a baby, the same way we were born babies in the natural; that’s why we must make conscious effort to grow spiritually every day, otherwise we would remain babies.
Understand that we are not all at the same level of spiritual growth, some of us are babies, some are young men, while some are fathers; we really need to know this so that we won’t become stubborn and arrogant Christians who disrespect their elders, because the same way we have elders in the natural, that’s how we also have elders in the faith, these are men and women who have developed themselves to maturity in the spiritual things through the word and fellowship with the Spirit of God, not those who are chosen by men and ordained as elders.
We have many aged Christians, they have become born again for years and are aging but are not growing spiritually. It’s sad that we have even ministers of the gospel: prophets, pastors, and evangelists who are still immature; they went to Bible school truly, and many of them graduated as theologians, but in reality never grow spiritually, they have remain spiritual babies but don’t know.
Going to Bible school won’t make anyone a matured Christian, it can qualify you to be a preacher, but it will never guarantee you spiritual development; to grow spiritually, you must desire the pure, and unadulterated milk of the word of God. In the Amplified Classic, that scripture says, _”Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation, Since you have [already] tasted the goodness and kindness of the Lord. “_
Our scriptural text admonish us to desire the sincere milk of the word because it is what would make us grow. To grow and mature spiritually, desire the pure word of God, which only the Holy Spirit can teach. He is the Spirit of truth, the only one who guides us into all truth, He is the one who will help you identify wrong teachings and keep you from error. Grow and keep growing spiritually, don’t remain a spiritual baby.
_My dear Father, I pray for the Saints all around the world that we shall all continue to grow to maturity spiritually and vibrant for you, and to be able to stand boldly in defense of the gospel of the Lord Jesus everywhere, in Jesus name. Amen._
