Tridax procumbens

Scripture; Luke 1: 45. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Previously, we established that faith fails because men take action without an encounter with the word of God and for those who have received the word, lack of understanding of the word is another reason for faith failure. Today, we shall be looking at lack of conviction as the reason for faith failure.

When a man take a step of faith without a deep seated conviction, faith failure is inevitable! Your conviction must be as strong as day light. In order words, the word sent to you has become a picture that is as clear as crystal.

All the instructions given are clearly understood, the prevailing conditions not withstanding.

This is what it means to be fully persuaded. For the Bible said:
2 Timothy 1: 12. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

This is that point of no return with God, the prevailing circumstances notwithstanding. A good example in this regard was Abraham the portrait of faith(Rom.4:17-21). He believed God despite contrary situations, he staggered not at the promises of God, he overrode the fact that Sarah had entered menopause and held on to what God had told him:
Romans 4: 21. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Beloved, what has God told you? If He has said you will be a joyful mother, please hold on! Irrespective of what is happening or what doctors have said, it is only what God has said that shall stand.

As a single lady, God has not said you will remain single all the rest of your life. So lay hold on what God has told you, believe it till the end

Beloved, whatever you are trusting God for, be ready to die believing than be wavering here and there(James 1: 6-8).

How does conviction affect our faith?

  1. In this kingdom we don’t receive if we are not convinced (believe):
Mark 11: 23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
  2. We don’t see the glory of God except we believe (convinced);
John 11: 40. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
  3. There is no performance of what God has said without conviction (believe):
Luke 1: 45. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
  4. You can’t come to God if you are not convinced (believe):
Hebrews 11: 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. How we solidify our conviction?
  5. By meditation (1Tim.4:15). Keep on meditating on what God has told you until it forms a picture in your mind.
  6. By relationship (2Tim.1:12). The more you know God the better you are convinced of Him, get to know God

In conclusion, faith fails because believers doubt God and His word sent to them. It is only the convinced heart that receives miracles as a by product of faith action. If your faith is failing check it out, it is possible you are not fully persuaded, if there is still element of doubt or unbelief. Straighten out the aspect of conviction or believe and your faith will bounce back to life.

Remember this Heaven is real and hell is real. The decision of where to spend eternity begins now, where shall you spend eternity?
