Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter!
Relationships are ladders to your rising in life! It is one major key for tapping into the treasures in man. We have considered various types of relationships. Today we shall examine the marriage relationship as it epitomizes destiny relationship!
Marriage is a God ordained institution, which happens to be the oldest institutions on earth. One major reason for it’s establishment is for people to fulfill their destinies on earth as they compliment each other.
From our anchor scripture(Gen.2:24), the Bible reveals that marriage involves a man leaving father and mother before he can cleave to his wife. So marriage requires leaving and cleaving!
At creation one thing that was not good was for a man to be alone:
Genesis 2: 18. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
You will notice the clause “I will make him an help meet for him”! That speaks of the purpose of the wife! The purpose of every thing is in the design, so God designed the woman to be a helper assisting her husband to fulfill his destiny on earth.
It is therefore important to follow God’s plan so as to achieve God’s purpose. The relationship that leads to marriage must be carefully selected and prayed about before making a decision on whom to marry.
Please understand that there are devils in human clothing, so if you are a child of God, pray before making your choice because if you marry a child of the devil, then expect Satan as a father-in-law to visit your home! A word is enough for the wise.
To those who are already married, please understand that you are in a destiny journey with your spouse. The success or failure of your journey depends on both of you, therefore all hands must be on deck to see it succeed .
There are times when the wife must support the husband spiritualy, financially, morally and otherwise to ensure the husband succeeds. Does that mean the husband should relinquish his responsibility as a husband?
No, of course not! However, there are seasons the husband might be going through some challenging times. That is the season he needs the wife’s support most! That there’s a challenge is not a yardstick for the woman to call it a quit from her marriage.
A good wife must be a value adding wife supporting her husband through the thick and dark season of life.
Two laws that govern the marriage institution;
1. Law of absolute submission: This law applies to the wife:
Ephesians 5: 22. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
This is where most wives miss it because they are not willing to submit in certain areas! Some are not willing to submit at all. If you are a daughter of Zion in the house, then your submission to your husband must not be in doubt, otherwise you can never experience a peaceful marriage if you are breaking the word of God.
2. The law of loving your wife: This law applies to the husband;
Ephesians 5: 25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
This is a direct command to the husband! It is not a suggestion or advice. Every husband must love his wife and that is the only key to maintain joy and happiness in the home.
In conclusion, marriage relationship is a destiny relationship that remains with you all through life. Whom you marry can cut short life or make you to live long. Therefore be careful of your choice of life a partner.
Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real! The decision to spend eternity with God begins now. Make Jesus the Lord of your life today.
