Spread the love

NO MATTER YOUR LEVEL TODAY, WHERE YOU ARE IS SOMEBODY’S PRAYER POINT.
GIVING TO THE POOR IS AN INVESTMENT THAT HAS A HARVEST IN VIEW.
THE LOVE OF GOD IN US IS ALSO VALIDATED BY OUR LOVE AND CARE FOR OTHERS.
ANYTIME YOU SEE A NEED IN THE LIFE OF AN INDIVIDUAL THAT YOU ARE BLESSED ENOUGH TO MEET, SEE IT AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE A BLESSING.
-Pastor David Oyedepo Jr at ChoP
Lord, we have come before You this morning to give glory and praise to You. We thank You for the mighty acts that we have seen in our midst, as evidenced in the testimonies that we have heard. We give You all the praise and all the glory. For the answers to our prayers, we say thank You and now our eyes are on You this morning, asking that You will speak to us. By Your Word, let our lives be transformed, we give You the praise and the glory. In Jesus precious name we have prayed.
Our line of exhortation for this week has been:
SPIRITUAL STEWARDSHIP PAYS THE MOST
We have come to realize that serving God is not just a mere religious activity, it’s not just a hobby, but rather it is a big-time business.
Luke 2:49, Romans 12:11
Clearly from scriptures, serving God is defined and described as business. And the outcome of that business is incomparable. It is unmatchable and it pays the unimaginable. That is why you cannot compare spiritual stewardship to any other dimension of stewardship. But we discover that our stewardship in God is multi-dimensional.

We serve God with our time, we serve God with our resources, we serve God with our strength and this morning we are going to look at a particular dimension in which we serve God that produces supernatural returns: That is serving God through looking after the wellbeing of others.

1 John 3:17, Matthew 22:36-40
In other words, it is the love of God at work in our hearts that makes all things work for our good, but the love of God in us is also validated by our love and care for others.
According to scriptures, we are commanded to do good to all men, particularly to the believers that are around us
Galatians 6:9-10
“Let us do good to all men” and it says as we have opportunity. So it means every time we see what looks like a need to be addressed in the life of somebody around us, God calls it an opportunity. It is an opportunity for us to take advantage of, in order to be a blessing, demonstrate the love of God towards such individuals and then begin to see the hand of God manifest in our lives.
1 Timothy 5:8
Clearly from scriptures, God has a desire to see us make provision according to the level of the blessings He has put in our lives for those that we find around us and I pray that the grace shall continuously be on the increase in each one of our lives.
In your Cell Fellowships: you see somebody who has a need and God has blessed you to be able to be a blessing to such an individual, God says, it is an opportunity. You can take advantage of it and the good news is this, no matter your level today, where you are is still somebody else’s prayer point. So you can still be a blessing. You can find somebody that you can still be a blessing to.
-I pray for each one of us as we begin to engage with these responsibilities, we shall keep seeing the hand of God in greater dimensions in the name of Jesus.
Let’s take note of this, he that gives to the poor according to scriptures shall not lack – Proverbs 28:27, Proverbs 19:17. Everything that is given to those that are in need, God tells us, that He Himself will pay us back. So there is a return, it is an investment that has a harvest in view.
Matthew 25:40
Whatsoever we do in being a blessing to those that are in need, within the household of faith particularly, God said, “you have done it unto Me” and whatever you do for Him, He will definitely repay to you.
Therefore, it is important that we note that commitment to the well being of others engenders supernatural returns and those returns are not only material
Psalm 41:1-3
What will happen to him?

  1. The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
  2. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive.
  3. He shall be blessed upon the earth.
  4. He will not deliver him to the will of his enemy.
  5. The Lord will strengthen him on the bed of languishing and will make all his bed in his sickness.
You look at that, those are 5 categorized blessings that are simply the response to one aspect of engagement: Blessed is he that considers the poor. He said, when he considers the poor, God begins to respond in all of these areas of his life. He said, the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble and who is this God that is speaking? God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
    Psalm 46:1
He is the only One that can guarantee you in time of trouble and He said when you consider the poor, He will stand up on your behalf in the time of trouble. When God is in the storm, the storm is over. It means when a man or woman engages as God as prescribed, it is absolutely clear that the various aspects of our lives as enumerated here in scriptures will definitely be decorated. I will like each one of us to understand therefore this morning what God is saying to you and to me is simple: there are multitude of returns for every engagement in our spiritual stewardship. As you engage in being a blessing to the poor, God begins to decorate the various departments of your life.

Therefore, every time you see a need in the life of an individual that you are blessed enough to meet, see it as an opportunity and as you take that opportunity, God begins to decorate your destiny.

Prayers: Lord, I receive grace to take every stewardship opportunity that I see around you. I receive that grace this morning. Thank You mighty God for the unleashing of Your grace. In Jesus precious name we have prayed.

That grace shall be made manifest in your life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
