SHILOH 2021 IS THE 22ND (SHILOH)
TWO IN 2 PLACES (22): DOUBLE, DOUBLE.
YOU MUST RETURN FROM SHILOH WITH YOUR OWN DOUBLE.

AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD CANNOT BE SEEN WITH YOUR PHYSICAL EYES BUT THE EFFECT IS UNDENIABLE.

WHENEVER I ENCOUNTER GOD, I EXPERIENCE JOY FROM WITHIN. IT FLOWS AND MAKES ME EXCITED KNOWING THAT GOD IS AT WORK IN MY FAVOUR, INSPITE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND MY LIFE AT THAT PARTICULAR POINT.

PREPARE FOR WORD ENCOUNTERS AT SHILOH.

-Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo at CHoP

Father we thank You this morning Lord for the privilege of another day. Thank You for the gift of life. The Psalmist said, “I slept and I woke up because the Lord sustained me.” Thank You for sustaining us and thank You for bringing us into Your presence in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You for these amazing testimonies, they shall be permanent. Again, right now, our hearts are opened, meet each one of us at the very point of our needs and let Your name be glorified in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

All through this week in our Covenant Hour of Prayer, our subject of consideration is titled:
GETTING SET FOR AN ENCOUNTER OF A LIFETIME AT SHILOH 2021
Amos 4:12 – Therefore thus will I do unto thee O Israel (or O Winners): and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel (or O Winners or you can replace that with your name, O Faith). Therefore, prepare to meet thy God O Faith. Shout a loud Amen.
-Come Shiloh 2021, you will encounter God.
Say with me, “I shall encounter God, come Shiloh 2021.” Will you please say that to your neighbour as well, “you shall encounter God come Shiloh 2021.”

I’ve had to ask myself few questions recently and I want to ask us one or two of those questions this morning.
Question 1: No assumption. What is an encounter? If I am to encounter God in the next few days at Shiloh, what is an encounter? No assumption!
For me, I will define an encounter as a very deep, unforgettable, unusual, uncommon but personal experience of God. A deep, unusual, uncommon but cannot be denied, but personal experience of the Almighty God.

It’s meant to be a rich one, even though it is personal, the effect cannot be denied. It will be there, not just for me that is experiencing that but for others also around me to see and that is what results in what they call testimonies.
It is internal, although it can manifest outwardly. In actual fact, it is meant to manifest outwardly. This morning, we heard 2 testimonies for example. The second Testifier said, “the first night, I encountered God.”
-And I know that for each and every one of us under the sound of my voice today, beginning from the first night of Shiloh this year, you will encounter God.

Simple, it is internal but the effect is seen outwardly. For example, will you please raise your voice everyone and shout a loud Hallelujah! Look at this, you shouted Hallelujah with your voice, isn’t it? Have you ever seen your voice with your eyes? But the effect just now, can it be denied? It’s the same thing with an encounter, you cannot see it with your physical eyes but the effect of it cannot be denied.
That’s why some persons when they have an encounter with God, the moment it is happening, the effect is seen around. For me, when I encounter God, one of the things I see that happens to me is joy from within. It flows, it oozes out, it gives me excitement, it makes me to know that God is real and is at work in my favour, the circumstances around my life at that point in time notwithstanding. Joy unspeakable, full of glory.
-Again, at Shiloh 2021, you must encounter God.

One very important thing that is clear about encounters is that it involves your choice. You cannot encounter God by God forcing an encounter on you and me.

If you and I want to encounter God, we have to choose to do so.
Philemon 1:14 – Without thy mind, will I do nothing.
We must choose an encounter before it can happen and I know you have made that choice already. Am I correct? That is also partly why you are here this morning and God will honour your choice in Jesus name.

Also we must understand that encounters must be prepared for.
Amos 4:12 – Prepare to meet thy God.
Encounters must be prepared for and all through scriptures, we see individuals who prepared for and encountered God. Also, we have heard all kinds of testimonies of people who prepared for and encountered God. We just heard some this morning.

This morning we are looking at the example of Paul the Apostle.
Apostle Paul was prepared behind the scene to undertake his apostolic mandate.
How do we know that? Galatians 1:15-18
He was separated, he was called.
“I went into Arabia” To do what? To prepare – Galatians 1:17. For 3 years, what was he doing? Preparing. Behind the scene, he was prepared for the apostolic mandate that God gave to him. No wonder he became the chiefest of the Apostles.
Galatians 2:8 – He met with Peter, an Apostle, he emerged an Apostle. Not only that, he emerged the chiefest of the Apostles.

So preparation is vital. Therefore, if you and I must encounter God at Shiloh this year, we must prepare to meet our God.

The question then is, ‘How are we to prepare?’
We must prepare for Word encounters in order to make the most of all that is available to us at Shiloh. Because the Word of God is the right platform for encountering God. No one can encounter God without encountering His Word.
You must have heard people share testimonies saying things like, “I caught it!!!” That means, “I received the Word and when the Word came, light came and darkness had no choice but to flee.” Therefore, we must prepare for Word encounters
2 Peter 1:3 – All things. Does that include your own thing? That includes your promotion, that includes your increase, that includes your divine health. How many things? All things.
-And your own thing is there.
“…All things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”
Through the knowledge of His Word. God’s Word is the carrier of the encounter that you and I require.
Hebrews 1:3 – “…upholding all things by the Word of His power.”
Let’s open up for the Word of God as we get set and we appear at Shiloh 2021. It is the place that you receive His Word that gives you and I our place on this earth.
-None of us will miss the Word Encounter beginning from the first night at Shiloh this year in Jesus name.

As we begin to round up, please let’s remember the preparation of the heart of individuals is what determines our encounter at Shiloh this year. The preparation of the heart – Proverbs 16:1
Therefore, our preparation must begin from our hearts.
Jeremiah 17:10
No man sees the heart of another but you know the content of your heart. Remember God sees it.
-God is searching the heart. May He find your heart and my heart ready for Shiloh this year in Jesus name.
-By the time Shiloh is over, we shall return with our lifetime encounters in our areas of desires in Jesus name.
-Before it has been the Shiloh for other people, but this year, “It is my own Shiloh”.
How about you? And remember, this year’s Shiloh is the 22nd, two in 2 places, double, double.
-You must return with your own double.

Prayers: Receive grace to be adequately prepared for Shiloh this year. Lord, my heart is opened, I am getting set, give me grace not to miss You at this Shiloh.
