EVERY GREAT DESTINY IN THE KINGDOM IS USUALLY A PRODUCT OF TIMELY RESPONSE TO DIVINE OPPORTUNITIES
THE MOMENT OF THE INSTRUCTION IS THE MOMENT OF THE MANIFESTATION, DELAYED RESPONSE CAN CANCEL A TESTIMONY
THE ONE WHO CLAIMS THAT HE WILL WAIT TILL TOMORROW TO DO WHAT GOD HAS COMMANDED TODAY HAS LOST THE BLESSING OF THAT COMMANDMENT
THE INSTRUCTION MAY NOT LOOK LIKE THE DESIRE YOU ARE WAITING FOR BUT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTION IS THE PATHWAY TO THE DESIRE.
EVERY INSTRUCTION OF GOD IS LOADED WITH MORE BLESSINGS THAN YOU CAN PRESENTLY DISCERN. YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IS IN OBEDIENCE UNTIL YOU HAVE OBEYED.

Day 16, Evening Session,
21 Days of Prayer and Fasting (10th to 30th January 2022) Communion Service.
Our Father and our God we have come tonight with voices of gratitude to give glory and praise to your holy name. We thank you Lord for the privilege and blessings of being in your presence. Thank you for answers to our prayers. Speak to us tonight by your word and let your word transform our lives in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
We have been looking at this line of exhortation captioned: PROMPT RESPONSE COUNTS THE MOST IN OUR WORK WITH GOD.
- We began yesterday by recognizing that God is a God of times and seasons (Ecclesiastes 3:1,11). We also discovered that visions and divine instructions are time sensitive before God (Habakkuk 2:1-3).
- Furthermore we discover that visions and instructions are likened to a race (Hebrews 12:1). Every divine instruction, every divine commandment, every direction from the Lord is time sensitive and it is a race. Philippians 3:13-14. The Mark refers to a race.
Every vision, every divine agenda, every instruction can be likened to a race, the moment it is given, there is a time allocated for it. We must be time sensitive in taking advantage of every divine instruction and divine vision. Every great destiny in the kingdom is usually a product of timely response to divine opportunities.
Ecclesiastes 9:11. If we are going to make the most of this year, we must understand that there are things allocated to the time and there must be demands that must be met. Those who take advantage of those demands in a timely fashion are the ones that emerge with the testimony of the season.
- No one here will miss out on the Testimony of the season.
So it means that you and I must understand the necessity of taking advantage, diving to every demand in a timely fashion. We are going to look tonight at some examples in scriptures of timely engagement, timely response and we see the effect in the life of those that engaged. First we look at Hezekiah in 2 Kings 19, we come across an account of Hezekiah there. After Rabshakeh, the messenger of the king of Assyrians brought Hezekiah a letter. 2 Kings 19:4-20. Hezekiah read the letter and went to the house of God to spread it before God.
There was no time for any kind of contrary discussion. As soon as it came, he took it and presented it ‘God this is the matter that is at hand’ and instantly God responded. We are told in verse 35 of that scriptures that God sent His angel and in one sweep God smote the camp of the Assyrians and a hundred and eight-five thousand of them wanted to destroy Judah were destroyed.
Why? Instant response to an instant engagement. To make the most of our adventure with God, we must learn to be instant, learn to be urgent in engagement. We see it all through the life of Hezekiah. In Isaiah 38:1-5, Isaiah came and said put your house in order.
This sickness is unto death. Immediately Hezekiah turned to the wall and presented the matter before God. He was a man of instant prayer and God responded to Him immediately.
- For someone here you will begin to experience urgent and instant response to prayer.
2 Corinthians 6:2.
There must be urgency in our engagement. We must engage without any sense of procrastination, diving in at any point in time. That is the key to making the most of our engagement.
We take another example, this is from the servants at the wedding of Cana in John 2:3-11. What is it that we can pick from that testimony? The water pots had been there before, the water had been available before but at the time of the instruction is the time for the manifestation. If they went after, they would carry water. If they go before, they will carry water. When they went at when he said it, the moment of the instruction is the moment of the manifestation. That is why a delayed response can cancel a testimony. It is vital for us to understand that our timely response is ultimately to our advantage. You heard the testimony of that testifier that was read to us. She said they were not paid for over one year, such a terrible situation. No food to eat, no accommodation, everything turned upside down. She kept hearing from the Lord “whatever He tells you to do, do it”. The instruction was “engage diligently in advancing the kingdom”. Her own necessity is that she needed supply but God said this is the instruction.
The instruction may not look like the desire you are waiting for but following the instruction is the pathway to the desire. As soon as she did, she got the call from the Head Office that she was going abroad, her papers were already prepared.
She got to that country and the one who didn’t have accommodation was given a beachfront house with aides. With a driver and allowances that meant that her salary for more than a year will not be touched. Remember for over one year, no salary.
Now, salary is available but not necessary because she obeyed a simple instruction. In other words God was saying I will pay you but you will not need it. According to her the allowances are ‘mouth-watering’. Salivating kind of allowance because of simple and prompt obedience.
Obedience is the key but promptness is the requirement to ensure that obedience produces. We also are made to see in the book of Acts 10:19-22 about Peter and the centurion. The centurion was given an instruction to send for Peter and he sent for Peter.
The Lord also spoke to Peter there are men that are coming for you, go with them doubting nothing. Both of them got instructions and as soon as they responded in a prompt manner, the Bible tells us that the entire household of Cornelius were entirely saved and the Gentiles heard the gospel for the first time. Why? Prompt obedience.
The key to the greatest of blessings is in the promptness of our obedience. The one who claims that he will wait till tomorrow to do what God has commanded today has lost the blessing of that commandment. The key to the blessings that we desire is in the promptness of our obedience.
How about the example of Paul, Galatians 1:15-16. I got the instruction and I dived in immediately. That kind of obedience is a vital necessity. No wonder this man Paul came from the back and overtook those that he met and arrived at the front. 1 Corinthians 15:10. You find a man of tireless prompt obedience, you find a man of usual greatness. That is what we saw in the life of Paul, Paul emerged at the frequency of prompt response.
Galatians 2:8. Can you imagine a man that wasn’t among the twelve, not among the seventy, not even among the five hundred. Paul came from the back and by prompt obedience he went from the back and arrived at the front.
The one who started from the back, emerged at the front because he was not going to delay with any instruction. We are told that through this man Paul the Apostle all Asia heard the gospel within two years.
The truth is this: every instruction of God is loaded with more blessings than you can presently discern.
That is why God’s servant has told us you don’t know what is in obedience until you have obeyed. It is when you dive in that you know what is available.
- For you this year, you will see the full package of the content of what is available.
What it means therefore is whether in Church, whether in your private devotion, as it comes from God’s servant towards us, every instruction that comes dive into it promptly and you will see it manifest supernaturally.
