Father we thank you for the privilege of being in your presence, thank you for the mighty acts that we have heard this morning. For the answers to our prayers we say, thank You. Church Gist. Now our eyes are upon You asking that You speak to us again and let Your word transform our lives, in Jesus mighty name we pray.
Our line of exhortation for this week has been: ONE CANNOT HAVE A HEART FOR GOD AND NOT HAVE TIME FOR HIM
    Proverbs 23:26
We have come to recognize that what God is interested in is our heart. The Bible tells us very clearly in Jeremiah 17:10 that God gives every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. God’s servant, our father has put it this way that this is what he calls the mystery of the greatest seed.

There is no seed that you can give to God greater than your heart, God is most importantly interested in your heart.
1 Samuel 2:3
Your acts is only as valuable to God as your heart. In other words, how much of your heart you put into a matter is how much weight God puts on your acts. That is why you and I must be heart connected when it comes to our engagement.

When a man’s heart is in a thing, his treasure will be there, that means if the greatest treasure of man is his time, where his heart is, his time will go there. It means that if we have a heart for God, naturally we will have time for God. Whatever consumes your heart consumes your time.

It is not a matter of whether time is available, every individual has the same twenty four hours.
That is why the word of God admonishes us in Ephesians 5:16 to “redeem the time, for the days are evil”. You and I must ensure that we demonstrate our heart for God by our time been invested with God.
We have been looking at a number of individuals who invested their time in God, as a result of that we see that each one of them was able to experience the hand of God in unusual dimensions.

We looked at Abraham, Job and Nehemiah yesterday. Today we will look at David.
David was the king of Israel, a man with so much responsibilities- administration of a nation and he was also a man of war but the Bible makes us understand that David was a man that that had unusual commitment of his time to God.
Psalms 55:17
David is saying that every single day, I will invest three moments of that day to prayer. Acts 6:4, no matter how many things are drawing on your time, prayer is a continuous responsibility (Luke 18:1). David was a man of numerous responsibility, but he was still a man of consistent connectivity on the altar of prayer.
Psalms 119:164
Seven times a day I will praise, three times a day I will praise. We are talking about a man that has drafted out ten separate times where he is in exchange with God. He was a man whose heart for God was demonstrated in his time. No wonder David was a man who enjoyed the backing of the presence of God in an unusual way.
Psalms 22:3
The man of praise cannot lack the presence of God. David was a man who invested his time in praising God so he enjoyed the presence of God. Someone might say “is this not too much time invested in praising God for a man of great responsibilities?” David understood that every other thing worked on the basis of his walk with God. How well you walk with God determines how well things work for you.
David understood that if he was going to win the battles of life, it was a product of his walk with God. He walked with God well, therefore things worked for him well.

You and I must understand that no man serving God is wasting his time, it is an investment that will yield great return.
Psalms 119:46
David was a man of prayer, David was a man of praise, David also was advertising his God without shame. When you talk about David, you talk about a man that will never be ashamed of his God. No matter where you find him, God was at the forefront.

He was always advertising God in every environment. As a result of that he stood out.

  • Somebody here will stand out in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We need a heart for God to make the most of our lives, it is your heart for God that determines what becomes of your life. 1 Samuel 17:1-50, we are told of the episode where Goliath began to confront the army of Israel and this was the statement of David “who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should stand to defy the armies of the living God?”. As far as David was concerned his heart for God was too hot to see a man that will stand to defile God.

What made David go after Goliath was not pride, what made David go after Goliath was not the prize, what made David go after Goliath was his heart for God.

The result of that is that he eclipsed the king who was still sitting on the throne, the truth is that when a man’s heart is invested in God that individual becomes a wonder to his world.

The Bible tells us in Mark 4:31-33 that the mustard seed is one of the smallest of all seeds but when it is sown, it grows up and shoots out great branches. It is the smallest at the planting but become the greatest by the harvest. No man can know the height of the tree from the seed.
All you need to understand therefore is that you and I must commit ourselves like David did, we must invest our time like David did.
According to God’s Word, the end time agenda of God is that giants rise (Obadiah 1:21), we are in the season of the rise of giants, individuals that will shake their world. According to the word of God those who will shake their world must be individuals who have a good walk with God (Daniel 11:32). The command for exploits and the rise of giants is at the mercy of our heart for God.

That is why your heart is the difference maker, your heart for God is the difference maker.
One cannot have time for God without making remarkable marks on the earth (1 Samuel 13:14, 2 Samuel 18:3). David became more than a nation, they said to him “one of you is worth more than ten thousand of us”.

That is God’s plan for us today, for a little one to be more than a thousand, a small one a strong nation and I the Lord will hasten it in it’s time. It will not take time, it will take commitment.
What is required of you and me? Simple – my son give me your heart.
Rise on your feet and take grace from him today, Lord I receive grace this morning to sow my heart as a seed in order to rise among end time giants. Receive that grace this morning by faith.
Thank you mighty God, let it be so in Jesus mighty name.
Let the grace to keep praying continuously, to keep praising continuously, to keep advertising God tirelessly come upon you right now.

That you will also be registered as a man after God’s heart in the name of Jesus Christ.
Speak to your Day
Make your declaration concerning the day, whatever you declare God is bound to deliver. Speak to it right now.
Thank you Father for in Jesus might name we have prayed.

  • Now this day is declared blessed.
As we are closer to the end of this working week, and the Bible declares that better is the end of a matter than the beginning.
  • Therefore I declare that today will be far better than every previous day of the week.
  • Whatever has not yet worked this week, will work for you today.
  • I declare the hand of God upon you today in an unusual way, today is a day of divine encounters.
  • It will be a day of open heavens for you, it will be a day of divine favour.
  • As you engage today, there will be swift response from heaven.
Amen and Amen, it is done.
