THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD IS GOING TO BE 70 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR. GET READY FOR OUR JUBILEE CELEBRATION
GOD PROMISED MY FATHER IN THE LORD IN 1952 THAT HE WAS GOING TO START A CHURCH WITH HIM THAT WILL GO ROUND THE WORLD, TODAY THAT PROMISE IS BEEN FULFILLED. THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD IS IN MORE THAN 190 NATIONS OF THE WORLD.
IF GOD SAYS IT, THEN IT IS SETTLED. IT MIGHT TAKE TIME BUT IT IS DONE
IF GOD MADE YOU A MAJOR PROMISE, THEN YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT A WHILE FOR ITS FULFILLMENT BECAUSE THE TALLER THE BUILDING, THE DEEPER THE FOUNDATION
YOU MUST APPROACH THIS NEW YEAR WITH A DETERMINATION THAT IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT HAPPENS YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE THANKS TO GOD.

  • Pastor E.A. Adeboye at RCCG January 2022 Thanksgiving Service.

  • Ancient of days we give you all the glory. We give you all the honour. Thank you for the past year. Thank you for the ups and downs.

Thank you for the mountains, thank you for the valleys. Thank you for the joy, thank you for the sorrow. Daddy we are saying Thank you, Thank you. Father, thank you. Thank you for life, thank you for health, thank you for thus far you have helped us, thank you for the siege is over. Thank you Ebenezer, thank you, thank you.

Father accept our thanks in Jesus name. As we enter into the new year, we commit our lives into your hands. Let this year be far, far better than the last. Like never before defend us, protect us, right our battles for us. Glorify your name in all our lives.

Let this year be a year of double miracles, double testimonies. Take all the glory Lord and if you return this year don’t leave us behind in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Happy New Year to everyone of you. Today is a new beginning for every one of us. It would be a new beginning of joy, of progress, of success, of anointing, of beautiful testimonies. I want to make a special request before I go into the sermon, that this year like never before please pray for your Pastors.

They are human beings, they pray for you all year round, pray for them too. Pray for your pastors also means pray for your General Overseer. Someone asked me, Daddy , we heard you don’t sleep much at night, you are always going for prayer walks, what are you asking God for? Clothes? I said no I have enough to last me a lifetime. House? I said No, God has given me one and I have no intention of moving out of that place. Cars? Definitely not.

What do you want? I want it to be well with my children all over the world. When there is a storm anywhere in the world, I pray by the grace of God that it doesn’t touch my children.

If there is an earthquake, I pray my children are not affected. I pray for my children, I don’t think it is too much to ask for my children to pray for me. Pray for me and pray for my family.

The sermon of today will be in two parts, one part for everybody and one part for the Redeemed Christian Church of God. One fellow said “Daddy you are the Daddy of everybody”, I said “I am”. There is a statement where I come from that every Ijesha is the child of Owa, (Owa is the paramount ruler of Ijesha) but when the night falls Owa knows how many children come to his house to sleep.

Everybody is my child but there are those who are called the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
If the Bible says ‘Rejoice’ it is a command. Pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks. It doesn’t matter what is happening, good or bad, give thanks. You must approach this new year with a determination that it doesn’t matter what happens you are going to give thanks. Why should I give thanks since I am hungry? Somebody said if you are hungry it is a sign that you are alive, dead people don’t get hungry.

There are some people who are in the hospital today, there is food but they don’t feel like eating. There are those who have plenty of food but sorrow won’t let them eat. What if you don’t have new clothes for new year, maybe the one you wore for Christmas is the one you are wearing for new year. Congratulations!

The fact that you worry about what you wear is a sign that you are not mad. Mark 5:2-20 tells us about a mad man, when Jesus healed him the Bible says when the people came and they saw him well dressed in his right mind. It is when you are not mad that you consider what you are wearing. Look at the real mad fellow outside, he is not even wearing any clothes and he is laughing at you and wondering how someone can be wearing Agbada in this terrible heat. He thinks you are the mad one.

What if I am hated, everywhere I go no one loves me. That is good news because Jesus Christ said in Matthew 15:18-19 that if they hate you, they hate me before you. If you are of the world the world will love it’s own. In other words, if they hate you it is a good sign that God loves you and if God loves you, you are more than a Conqueror.

The Bible made it clear that if God is for you, who can be against you. Who cares who hates me.

How can I praise God when He hasn’t answered my prayers? Well occasionally, the answer to your prayer is coming. It is only delayed. Daniel 10:12-14. Daniel fasted for 21 days but when the angel that was bringing the answer came, he said from the day you called, God heard and sent the answer but there was a delay, some demons blocked the answer and now I am here to give you the answers to your prayers.

  • If there is a delay to your prayers, I decree that the answer will come today.
Some prayers are delayed because God has His timetable. If God gave you the answer in 2021 it would have been too early so He waited for 2022 because He has His time table.

Occasionally, God delays the answer because what He wants to give you is better than what you are asking for. Matthew 11:11. The parents of John the Baptist wanted their children fast but God wanted to give them a child that would be the greatest person of the Old Testament. Someone greater than Abraham, greater than David, greater than all the prophets but in the timetable of God, that fellow can only be six months older than the Lord Jesus Christ.

If God has something superior to give you and He has decided to delay your answer, so be it in Jesus name. There are some prayers that are better if God does not answer at all. 2 Kings 20:1-6. God told a king to put his house in order that he will die soon.

The King started crying and begging God. God sent His prophet back to Him to tell him He has given him 15 years extra. That’s good. When you get to 2 Kings 21:1-16, three years later after the king was healed he gave birth to a boy that will reign after him.

The Bible records for us that boy was the worst king that ever reigned. That boy was so bad that during his time, the blood of the innocent was flowing like water. The father would have gone back if possible and said it would be better for me to die rather than produce this kind of child. The mother of Judas Iscariot would have wished that boy was not born.

Any prayer you pray that God knows is going to end badly for you, may God never answer that prayer.

How can I thank God when He has not fulfilled His promises in my life. He prophesied over me and I knew for sure He was talking about me but up till now there is no answer.

I want to assure you that once God has spoken it is done. Psalm 33:8-9, Numbers 23:19. Once God makes a promise, that promise is settled. However you need to know one thing: the taller the building will be, the deeper the foundation.

If God made a major promise, you may have to wait a little before the fulfillment. God told Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3, through you I will bless the whole world but Abraham was childless for a very long time, when time came God moved and today all over the world there are seeds of Abraham. Every true Christian is of the seed of Abraham. If God made you a promise, it will come to pass.

At least you remember the story of my Father in the Lord, the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. When God tells a man that He is going to start a church with him and that Church is going to go round the world, that’s a very big promise. He made the promise in 1952. Incidentally I am sure you know that Redeemed Christian Church of God is going to be 70 this year. Get ready for our jubilee celebration.

The old man waited and waited and waited and then one day in 1979 far away in America we went to attend Kenneth Hagin’s Camp Meeting. We finished the program on Saturday. On Sunday we went to worship God in one Church. They didn’t know us, we have never been there before but because we were different they put us in the front seat.

The preacher was preaching the normal American way of going up and down and stood before Papa and said “Thus saith the Lord, the promise I made you is about to be fulfilled”. Then he turned around to the altar and continued preaching.

Papa looked at me and said what did he say?” I said I will tell you when we get home. We got home and Papa asked again and I told him.

The old man began to cry, that was 1979. By 1980 Papa died and handed over to my little self and today the Redeemed Christian Church of God is in more than 190 nations of the world because He promised and is fulfilled.

There are places in the world where there are Redeemed Christian Church of God and I have never been there.

So it is not me, it is the one who made the promise. I have never been to Japan. I wanted to go two years ago, but Coro didn’t allow. I have never been to Libya but whether you believe it or not we have more than 16 branches in Libya.

When He makes a promise, it will come to pass whether you like it or not. To somebody today, He has made a promise and the promise is that your siege is over. Whether you receive it or not.

So He said in everything give thanks why don’t you lift your hands to the Almighty God and say Thank you Lord. Thank you for everything that happened last year, thank you for my life, thank you for the prayers you didn’t answer. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord. Glory be to your Holy name.

The second part of this sermon is for those who are members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Exodus 8:20-24.

There was a time in Egypt when God was angry with Pharaoh and He decided to show Pharaoh that He is the king of all kings, older than the oldest, wiser than the wisest and stronger than the strongest. He decided to show Egypt that there is a God in Heaven. Just like this time when God wants to show the world that there is a God in heaven.

Thank God for scientists, brilliant people, I used to consider myself as one of them. They are very important people but the Bible says the wisest man, his wisdom cannot be compared to the foolishness of God.

Right now God is angry with the world and He is showing the world that as you are making one vaccine, a new variant is coming. I told you that last year. He wants me to tell you who are members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God that He will treat Egypt separately and treat you as Goshen. He said there will be a difference between those who serve me and those who do not.

There will be a line drawn. It means your body will be treated as Goshen. Psalm 91:5-8. Coro is not going to come near your house. It won’t come near your body, He is saying no plague will come near your dwelling. Because Goshen is a city within a city, He is saying no pestilence will invade your town or your village.

I know some of these things may sound strange. Oh how can that be? Do you know that because of you alone? Just one person, God can spare a whole town.

You can do your research and find out there has not been a single case of Corona Virus in Ifewa.

Not one. I have people there doing the checking for me.

  • May I decree to you that from now on, because of you your village is preserved. Your body will be Goshen. Your village will be Goshen.
