The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10 NLT
The new life we received in Christ is an exciting and a glorified life, the life that brings pleasure, true satisfaction in life, ends all man’s miseries, and fill man’s heart with joy unspeakable, full of glory.
Naturally, all men are born with the natural human life, the life of the blood, but this life has many limitations, and no one who live and depends on the natural human life ever gets satisfied in life, that’s the nature of the natural man, so, everyday he is seeking satisfaction in everything, that’s why many give themselves to alcoholism, womanizing, smoking, and all kinds of immoralities and atrocities.
But Jesus came, born like every other man was born, lived in the body, suffered in the body, killed in the body, buried in the grave, but was raised by the glory of the Father with a new life. Before His death, He said, “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” This was His mission, to give new life, but to make the new life available, He had to die, so Jesus died, and now, by believing and confessing Him as Lord and Saviour, you receive a new life, a life with no limitations called zōē.
Zōē is not an ordinary life, it is not a natural life, it is the supernatural life, the only rich and the only satisfying life. The human life is a low and a limited life which never brings any satisfaction, that’s why you can never see any man whose life is the human life living a satisfied life, his life would always be full of challenges of all kinds, needs and wants; but with Zōē, you will never experience dissatisfaction because in Christ, all your needs are met.
Jesus is the solution to all life’s problems and challenges, He is the end of poverty, sickness, diseases, and life with no purpose. When you have zōē, you have and possess a life with all the best packages you could ever get in life, with zōē, you have all you need in life because you are fully supplied by God in Christ Jesus; the word says in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” We have all spiritual blessings in Christ, Jesus Himself knew that all the blessings of God for His children are in Him, so He said, “…My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
Precious Father, I thank you for the new life that I have in Christ Jesus, I am full of blessings; your favour speaks for me everywhere I go, and I enjoy unlimited greatness everyday, in Jesus name. Amen.
