And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee… Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 1 Kings 3:4-5, 10.
King Solomon discovered his need for help beyond the ordinary in the execution of his assignment, he offered massive sacrifices to provoke the attention of God. When God asked him what he wanted, he demanded for wisdom to perfectly execute his assignment not to live his life. God granted his desire. He became an outstanding people skill person. He networked perfectly with everyone and built great bilateral relationships and garnered massive wealth but ended miserably.
How do you explain a man who wrote so much against strange women and their effects on life and destiny be the one to marry seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines?
Today, many young ministers are offering the sacrifices of fasting, prayers, seeds sowing, rhema accumulation, etc with the singular motive to connect anointing for ministry success rather than to build a relationship with God. It’s an open secret that many young ministers are infected with the performance virus. Everyone wants to perform, please the crowd, get a name and be rewarded with comfort at the expense of a genuine relationship with God.
This is the reason for unhealthy competitions, manipulations, politickings, envy, jealousy, oppression of junior ministers etc within ministers and amongst ministries.
What is the use of a twenty one days fasting and ten hours of tonguing when you still engage in manipulation and oppression of younger ministers under you?
What is the use of sowing fat seeds into higher graces when you can’t help lift someone within your reach and capacity to lift?
What is the use of crying unto God for anointing when you make your wife and fellow ministers cry through your attitude and words?
What is the use of learning new church growth strategies when those under you are groaning in pains and you seem not to care?
What is the use of having new ministers when the older ones are seeking for a way out owing to your oppression?
Counsel:
Let your heart’s passion be to succeed with God not just to succeed in ministry.
Watch your motive for every action.
God may give you what you need to succeed in ministry but will not pardon your personal failures!
SEE YOU IN THE TWO MINISTERS SESSIONS AT EASE2021.
I love you!
