APART FROM YOUR TITHE, OFFERING AND GIVING TO THE POOR, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE PARENTS’ OFFERING YOUR PARENTS MUST BE DRAFTED INTO YOUR MONTHLY FINANCIAL BUDGET
AFTER HEARING THAT GOD WILL ONLY BLESS THE WORKS OF OUR HANDS, I WENT FROM COLLECTING TEN THOUSAND NAIRA MONTHLY ALLOWANCE FROM MY DAD TO CARRYING TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY BLOCKS AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE
GIVING WITHOUT WORKING IS LIKE POURING WATER IN A BASKET IT IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR GIVING AND YOUR WORK THAT GIVES CEASELESS FLOW
THE MOMENT YOU FOCUS ON MAN OR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AS YOUR SOURCE, GOD STOPS HIS FAVOUR FOR PROVISION IN YOUR LIFE PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND NOT MAN
-Pastor Salem Samson on “Maintaining Ceaseless Harvest- Part 1” at SMHOS First Service
You may please be seated in God’s presence. I want to appreciate God for this wonderful privilege to be the one to serve us with God’s word in this Service.
I believe God will visit everyone of us in the name of Jesus. I want to appreciate my father, my mentor, my pastor, my life coach for this wonderful opportunity, Papa, thank you sir. Mama, I believe you are praying for me. Thank you ma.
We are still in the season of Manifesting Supernatural Abundance. I believe this season, your abundance will be revealed to you. We are going to be considering, “Maintaining Ceaseless Harvest” Praise God!
To maintain is to cause or enable a condition or situation to continue. Ceaseless means constant or unending.
Harvest means reaping something that has been sowed.
So, Maintaining Ceaseless Harvest is to cause or enable the constant or unending flow of something that has been sowed. Hear this truth, God does not have a problem supplying abundance to us constantly. Romans 8:32. I was telling some persons when I was talking to them, I said the greatest thing anyone can give to a person is a child.
People can part with money, clothes and other things.
The greatest to part with is a child. It is not usual or normal for a person to give his child to another person as a gift.
God does not have a problem with money. Haggai 2:8. Psalm 53:2. God takes pleasure when we prosper. The truth is that our abundance is one of the reasons for which Jesus came. 2 Corinthians 8:9. Although Jesus was rich, he became poor for us to become rich.
God’s utmost desire is that man should enjoy wealth and abundance. That is God’s utmost desire. In school those days, they taught us scale of preference. They said, “Scale of preference is the order of importance of things.”
In God’s. scale of preference, your prosperity and health are paramount and I believe today, it will become your portion.
Papa said in his book, “Seeking God does not make one poor; it is ignorance that leads to poverty” Hosea 4:6. Wealth is a function of knowledge.
Don’t be carried away that you have little cash in your account. You need the knowledge of God’s word to enjoy consistent supernatural supply.
Papa has shared his story with us several times. He said, ‘While he was in Lagos, after Bible School, he did not like the inconsistency of the flow of provision’ He said, ‘He then went to get the same book that his mentor, Bishop Oyedepo read on prosperity and read it too’ He said, :He then asked the Holy Spirit on what to do and the Holy Spirit required him to bless his mentor’ and that was how he entered into a consistent flow of supply.
- Your heavens will open today in the name of Jesus Christ
What brings continuous financial harvest is sowing on a continuous basis. Philippians 4:16. On a continuous basis, do whatever you have been doing to provoke heaven in your favour. The secret to maintaining ceaseless flow of abundance is giving. Proverbs 11:24. Genesis 8:22.
The foundation of your giving should be love. Mark 12:30-31. Your giving should be love-motivated. Papa said, “You can give without loving but you can’t love without giving” I remember Papa shared on the altar several years ago that the wood they used for the hall was sagging.
He said he got some money, seven hundred and twenty three thousand naira (#723,000) and he sowed seven hundred thousand (#700,000) into the renovation of the building and used the remaining amount to buy books. Praise God!
That is love. He did this where he could have bought a car because he had no car then. He was able to give because of his love for God. 1 Kings 3:3-4,12
Now, God did not tell Solomon to give a thousand burnt offering, it was out of the measure of the love in Solomon’s heart that he decided to give a thousand burnt offering and after he gave, God blessed him with wisdom and prosperity. God saw the love he demonstrated and God gave him more than he asked for.
Ceaseless flow of wealth starts when you love God. The depth of your love for God determines your level of access to his resources. 1 Corinthians 13:3. Anything you give without love will not produce any result. The depth of your love determines the capacity of your financial coast. Love is demonstrated by giving. Papa said, ‘Abundant giving provokes abundant harvest’
For example, if you eat a delicious meal and refuse to go the convenience, you will be endangering your health. That you have gotten breakthrough once and you refuse to sow, you are endangering the provision.
Everytime God blesses you and you did not deposit enough to create space for new blessings, you die financially. In the farming business, a farmer reserves the best part of his harvest for the next planting season.
The farmer determines his harvest so he selects the best of his harvest for the next planting season.
When God blesses you, there are two things in the blessing: there is a fruit and there is a seed. Isaiah 55:10. Inside every blessing, there is bread and there is seed. Praise God!
Things to do to Maintain Ceaseless Harvest
Papa told us that prosperity or financial harvest can be likened to a building. Your tithe is the foundation, the structure is your offering, and the roof is the harvest. When you pay your tithe and give your offering, God is the one that supplies the roof. Praise God!
- Tithing is a systematic release of a tenth of all your increase to God. It is like tax. It is obligatory if we desire financial harvest. Our financial empowerment starts with tithing. Malachi 3:12. From the inception of this Ministry, we have been tithing and you can see the evidence of the tithing. Paying of tithe does not enrich God; it rather secures your future and eternal destiny. Do not carry a contributor mentality when you pay tithe.
a Worship offering Leviticus 16:16-17. Don’t come to church empty. Never come to church without giving an offering. If you don’t give your offering, you will end up suffering. I used to tell the workers in the Church the way I do my own. At the end of the month, divide the money including the amount for your offering and keep it. We prove our love when we give offering.
b. Project offering Haggai 1:2-9. Everytime God blesses you, invest into his kingdom. Zechariah 1:17. Sow for the advancement of God’s kingdom. When you love God, you don’t wait until you are told about things to do in God’s house, once you see it, you correct it.
c. Prophet offering is the offering you give to your prophet, the vessel God is using to bless you.
In Salvation Ministries, we have only one prophet in person of David Ibiyeomie. Don’t forget his birthday is around the corner. 2 Chronicles 20:20. When you want to prosper, you must believe God’s prophets. Philippians 4:15-19.
d. Welfare offering is the offering you give to the needy and those that are less privileged. Deuteronomy 15:11. Proverbs 4:3, Proverbs 28:7. The needy around should be blessed by you.
e. Parents offering Ephesians 6:3 If you want things to be well with you, honour your parents. This offering is the offering you give to your parents or those standing in that capacity.
Factors that Determine the Quality of Your Harvest.
- Give your size. Galatians 6:7. You can also rob God in your offering when you don’t give as much as God has blessed you. Make sure you give your size.
- Honour God with your offerings Proverbs 3:9. Make sure you package the offering honourably. Don’t come to church with bad notes.
- Give willingly. Isaiah 1:19. 1 Corinthians 9:17-18. Give your seed willingly. Don’t give as of you are being forced.
- Give cheerfully. 2 Corinthians 9:7. God only accepts giving excitedly. Don’t give to God murmuring. God is not a tax master. Preset your seed to him cheerfully.
- Give once and again. Your giving must not be once and for all. Galatians 6:9. Some people get tired and they stop giving after one breakthrough. If your cloud needs 1000gram for your rain to fall and you give 1 gram per service, it will take 1000 service for your rain to fall. You are the one that will decided how long you want to wait for your harvest.
- Trust in God. You can’t maintain ceaseless harvest if your trust is placed in man. Jeremiah 27:5-7. Don’t put your trust in your bank. I was not working some time ago, and I was spending money. But when I started working, my mind was on the salary I was getting and my flow of provision shifted from God to the salary I was getting. This made me to lack favor.
7 Be a worker. Proverbs 10:4 You can’t be folding your arms. Ceaseless flow is only for those who are working Proverbs 22:29. Giving without working is like pouring water into a basket. Several years ago, my father agreed to be giving me 10k (#10,000) every month till I got a job. So I came to church one day and I heard Papa say, ‘God will bless the work of your hands.’ So I said, ‘So I can’t be blessed with this money my father was giving me.’ So I went to carry blocks at a construction site. I carried 250 blocks and was paid five hundred naira (#500) I went out the next day in order to carrymore blocks.
The man came and said the ones I carried the previous day were enough. So, I was told to assist he bricklayer to work.
While we were there, the same man was discussing the need to employ a teacher. I said I could teach and I was asked some questions which I answered.
I was employed as a teacher and I was able to save some money to come to Bible School and after that, I am here by the grace of God.
Find something to do so that God can have a channel to bless you. It is the combination of your giving and your work that determine your ceaseless flow.
