There are plenty of online job opportunities to work from home. In the past, scams were everywhere, but with the Internet, there are plenty of companies that provide real work-at-home jobs that you can do in the comfort of your home. Always be aware of scams though. Never pay for these opportunities and always do your research before you start working for any company looking for a worker from home.

1. Freelance Writer

A freelance writer is someone that write not because he has major experience on writing but to an extent writes on what he /she thinks will get the attention of the public.

 Freelance Writers find clients who need blog posts, articles, emails and brochures when they work from home as a freelancer. A freelance writer doesn’t have to have a ton of experience, but will need to be able to write to under strict guidelines from the clients and you will get paid for it.

2. Website Designer

If you have experience on web designing and other aspects of designs, or coding experience, you can create websites for others and they pay you for your work.

 In some cases, all you need is a bit of WordPress knowledge as well as how to attract customers who need your service. You could advertise your services on a site like Upwork or Fiverr where you can gain some experience before charging more money for your websites.

3. Customer Service Representative

There are many companies that hire people to work from home. They might be called remote workers but the work to service people based on what the company has to offer.

They are a contractor with the company itself and the get paid even while working at home. You can find these types of positions in online forums catering to job postings and get paid while working at home.

4. Blogger

Blogging is a good business and you can work from the comfort of your home and you get paid for it, this isn’t a job that will pay immediately, but it’s a good option for people who want a side hustle.

With a blog, you can talk about your favorite hobby or topic, place some advertisements or sell products from the site and make some extra cash.

It’s often done in addition to other sources of online income too.

5. Tutor/Teacher

People nowadays search the internet for thing they want to learn or thing they feel it is what they should be able to do themselves.

If you are someone with special knowledge, you can teach others. For example, if you are fluent in a foreign language, know how to code or understand math, you can teach those skills to others.

You can record sessions that people can purchase and you can make enough cash from it. Udemy is a great site for selling courses.

6. Translator

If you are someone that can speak and write more than one language, can translate documents and do transcription quite easily.

You can get a job to translate and get paid for it or get a book and translate to other languages and place them for sale and make some money but it has to be with the permission of the writer.

 To do this you have to be extremely fluent and have the ability to adhere to grammar and style rules in both languages to find work in this field.

7. Direct Sales Rep

You can work as an online sales rep from your home. Companies send you a picture of their product and you place it on your site for sale and people are able to contact you for the product. Whether it’s Tupperware, Mary Kay or Avon, a direct sales rep will sell products to people directly through parties and contacts. For example, they’ll have product parties where they bring samples and take orders.

8. Virtual Assistant

A virtual assistant helps with certain tasks for small business owners, coaches or entrepreneurs with aspect of their work that they can’t always able to visit.

The assistant might handle the person’s travel scheduling, social media account or bookkeeping tasks. To start as a virtual assistant, you’ll need to have a computer and a marketable skill.

9. Fashion Stylists

You might be someone that have a lot of fashion experience or like to give advice on dressing, etc.

Anyone who loves to give style and fashion advice to their friends, knows the latest trends or influences, what people are wearing next can be hired online as a fashion consultant or stylist. There are so many companies who have stylists who work from home to find fashion for their clients, companies like Stitch Fix.

10. Transcriptionist

You don’t have to have experience to be a transcriptionist unless you want to do something specialized like medical transcription. There are plenty of sites that are looking for general transcriptionists. All you need is a good Internet connection, a headset and good typing skills to get started. As a general transcriptionist, you won’t make a full-time career out of it until you’ve gained more experience with the company you’ve chosen.
