Topic: Two Very Important Things

Author: Pastor Abraham David

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, And that seek him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:2 KJV

There are two very important things that are very child of God who wants to walk in a higher dimension of God’s blessings must know and do as revealed in our theme verse: keeping the testimonies of God, and seeking Him with the whole of the heart.

Receiving Christ brings anyone into God’s family of the blessed, so, by new birth, we become the blessed people of God, blessed with the faithful Abraham; but being born into God’s family of the blessed doesn’t mean the blessings will just work like that, or manifest just like that, it always requires some deliberate, conscious, and pragmatic steps to make the blessings manifest in the life of a child of God, that’s what the word of God is telling us in the verse we read from today.

Have you been born again for a while and serving God faithfully in your local assembly but still don’t see blessings in manifestation in your life? If that is your situation right now, that means you need to carry out a thorough check on yourself to know where you are getting it wrong. The devil is not responsible for every thing happening to us, sometimes negligence and unawareness of such negligence is what costs us and works against us, and because we don’t really know, we attribute it to the known enemy, the devil.

If as a child of God, you will consciously, and deliberately keep God’s testimonies (His words, His precepts), and seek the Lord in truth with the whole of your heart daily, you will see greater blessings of God in manifestation in your life.

When the Bible says, seek the Lord…, it is not as though God is somewhere and you have to go look for Him, or come from somewhere everyday to look for Him; if you are born again and filled with the Spirit, you are in God and lives right now in Him and with Him. What seeking the Lord means is, setting your heart on God, to fix your gaze on Him and seek to know Him more and more like apostle Paul said, that I may know Him. Seeking the Lord is therefore making progress in your knowledge of Him and His perfect will, and living to please Him alone.

Confession
My precious Father, you are my Lord and my God, my soul longs for you, you alone are my heart desire and I want to live my life doing your will, so that you would always be glorified in my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
