TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING HOW GOD PROSPERS
Scripture: Deuteronomy 28: 8. The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! So many people have actually been asking me questions, “Pastor I’m a giver, but why is It that I don’t receive like I give?” I just smile and answer them, “the reason is because not all harvest will return back to you in form of what you give!” Today, we shall be looking at avenues of receiving our harvest.
How does God prosper?
When you obey the law of sowing and reaping, then expect harvest through the following:
1. By commanding blessings upon your store house:
Deuteronomy 28: 8. The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
We see that God promised to command blessings upon your store house. It is quite unfortunate that many of God’s people don’t have store houses.
This is probably because of indiscipline! Those who are privileged to be blessed often waste it. Unknown to them that God hates wastage.
That’s why He instructed His children to take only the quantity they could finish per day(Exo.16:16) in the time of collecting manna.
Beloved, God desires us to have a store house! Possess a savings culture where we don’t eat up everything God gives us per time, by so doing we are positioning ourselves for the blessing.
Now a store house could be your bank account or a particular thing where you could store the blessings of God upon your life. I have a friend of who stores his money in buying non-perishable items and later sells it at higher price.
A man hasy jumped into the realm of millions just buying and storing grains just like Joseph did in the land of Egypt.
There are those who don’t have bank account, please go and get one. And if you already have one adopt Joseph’s principles.
What is Joseph’s principle?
It is a principle of savings surplus for the rainy days;
Genesis 41: 34. Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
From the scripture above we discover Joseph was divinely inspired to instruct Pharaoh to save the fifth part that is one-fifth or simply twenty percent of all the goodies of the land for a rainy day! And it saved them from famines that later struck the land. This is what I call Joseph’s principle.
Joseph’s principle is a principle whereby every resource that comes into your hands, twenty percent is set apart especially in the time of surplus. There are so many persons who have eaten up their tomorrow today simply because they lack the discipline to save for the rainy day.
Beloved, understand therefore that when God makes provision of one week and you blow it off in one day, get ready to go hungry for the next six days for failing to manage the provision. There are times it will come in excess, and there are times nothing will come God is aware of it all.
As a business man, there are times several profits will turn in, that is your surplus, adopt Joseph’s principle, the same applies to individual lives. The prosperity of God will come upon your store house, therefore store houses are channels of receiving God’s prosperity. If you don’t have a storehouse please create one because there’s a dimension of God’s blessing that is looking for your storehouses.
Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real. Don’t gamble with your eternal destiny, give your heart to Jesus today.
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, help me to be disciplined enough not to waste your resources but have a store house in Jesus name.
– I prophesy the release of the wisdom to be prudent in the name of Jesus.
– Every evil basket that makes you waste your resources without knowing, ycatches fire right now in the name of Jesus. Every leakage of your resources is hereby closed in Jesus’ mighty name.
From your brother Alex
God bless you.
