Spread the love

ONE OF THE ISSUES THAT WE FIND IN OUR DAYS AND IN OUR AGE TODAY IS THAT PEOPLE WANT TO GIVE GOD THEIR CASH, THEY WANT TO GIVE GOD THEIR TIME BUT THEY DON’T WANT TO GIVE GOD THEIR LIFE.
THERE CAN BE NO GLORIFICATION WITHOUT DEDICATION.
THE EQUATION TO GREATNESS IN THE KINGDOM IS ONE SEED, ONE SOIL, ONE TREE.
THE PATHWAY FROM INSIGNIFICANCE TO RELEVANCE IS DEDICATION.
WHEN YOUR LIFE IS YOUR SEED, THERE IS NO DOUBT IN YOUR HARVEST.
YOUR GREATEST SEED IS NOT YOUR MONEY, YOUR GREATEST SEED IS NOT TIME, YOUR GREATEST SEED IS NOT YOUR ENERGY, YOUR GREATEST SEEDS ARE NOT YOUR RESOURCES. YOUR GREATEST SEED IS YOUR LIFE.
THIS MORNING I WILL LIKE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US TO POSITION OURSELVES NOT JUST TO BE PART OF THE DEDICATION OF THE SANCTUARY BUT THE DEDICATION OF OUR LIVES.
WHERE UNDERSTANDING IS ABSENT, ENGAGEMENT IS BARREN.

This morning, we are going to look at the subject that is captioned:
UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF DEDICATION.

And this morning, standing upon the shoulders of God’s Servant, the Apostle over this commission, I believe that the grace of God upon his life will be made manifest in each and every one of us today in the Name of Jesus Christ.

We are here today for the dedication of this Sanctuary but where understanding is absent, engagement is barren.

So we must come to the point of understanding the subject of dedication and this subject is applicable both co-operately and personally. And this morning I will like each and every one of us to position ourselves not just to be part of the dedication of the Sanctuary but the dedication of our lives.
By way of introduction, let us recognize that every child of God is described as God’s building.

1Corinthians 3:9. So we are described as God’s building, in verse 16 of that Scripture, we are made to understand that we are God’s temple. Not only are we described as God’s building but we are also described as God’s temple.

1 Corinthians 6:19, we are further described as the temple of the Holy Spirit and that means that if truly we are the building of God, we are the temple of God, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit then if a Believer can truly have his or her life dedicated to God, his life or he life will be filled with the glory of God just like we saw at the dedication of the temple of Solomon. 2 Chronicles 5:14.
I have good news for somebody here this morning, suddenly today your life will be filled with the cloud.

Suddenly today your life will be filled with a cloud.
And what is that cloud? It is not the cloud of gloom, it is not the cloud of dom but it is the cloud of glory.

2 Chronicles 5:14.
And when God’s glory comes, reproach goes, shame goes, defeat goes, therefore today as God’s glory comes upon your life, I see an end to shame, reproach, defeat in the Name of Jesus Christ. Somebody you believe it say a louder Amen.

WHAT IS DEDICATION?

Let’s understand from Scripture that every Believer is described as a ‘Spiritual Seed’ and dedication is simply the process through which the seed of a life is planted in the soil of the Kingdom.

In John 12:23-26.
I have heard God’s Servant, the Apostle over this Commission say, there is the mystery of the greatest seed; your greatest seed is not your money, your greatest seed is not your time, your greatest seed is not your energy, your greatest seeds are not your resources, your greatest seed is your life.

That is why God said, ‘My son, give me your heart’. What I want is more than your cash, what I want is your heart.

One of the issues that we find in our days and our age today is that people want to give God their cash, they want to give God their time but they don’t want to give God their life.

But I like you to understand that what brings about a change of story is the offering of the greatest seed which is your life. That is why there is a limit to how far any Believer can go without dedication.

There can be no glorification without dedication.
Psalm 126:5-6. What is more precious than a person’s life? When your life is your seed, there is no doubt in your harvest.

God is interested in the offering of your life. When your life is planted as a seed in this Kingdom, that is what dedication is and it is the only path to glorification. I pray this morning that as this Sanctuary is dedicated, your life will be dedicated.
Mark 4:30-33. The mustard seed was insignificant as a seed by the process of dedication it became relevant to all.

I like you to understand that the pathway from insignificance to relevance is dedication.
A seed can be overlooked but not a tree. When it is a seed form, it can be despised but not a tree. When you see a seed you can step on a seed but you don’t step on a tree, you climb a tree. In a seed stage, it is cheap to damage but in it’s tree stage it is difficult to damage.

That is what happens when a Believer’s life is planted in the earth of the Kingdom, it begins to gather relevance.

I pray for you this morning that as your life is dedicated afresh, I see your life begin to manifest Divine relevance. Somebody you believe it say a louder Amen.
So, every Believer is a ‘Spiritual Seed’ but until the seed is planted in the soil, it cannot grow or bear fruits or have proofs. So the fruits of our lives are the proofs of the plantings in the Kingdom of God.

I like you to understand that because you have one seed, you can be planted in one place. Any divided seed is a destroyed seed; can you take the seed of a corn and divide it into four because you want to multiply it and plant it in different places? Not one part of the seed will grow because it has been divided.

Why do we as Believers want to divide our lives into different pieces and plant it everywhere? Hoping that it will produce fruits. A divided seed is a damaged seed.
You can’t have part of your heart with God and part of it is running after money. You can’t have your life part with God and part with sin. You can only have your life planted in one place. When a man has one seed, it can only be planted in one soil and the best soil to choose for the planting of your life is the soil of the Kingdom.

When it is planted in the soil of the Kingdom, it is guaranteed to produce Supernatural fruits. That is why God is calling us to order today, He wants us to know that, listen it is your seed, it is your choice but only the right soil will bring the right fruits.

How many of you know that not every seed can grow everywhere? Each will require the right condition to produce the right manifestation.
If your life will produce the right manifestation, you must be planted in the right condition. Psalm 92:13-14.

So God said that the best place for your life to be planted is His house – to be planted in the Kingdom, to be dedicated in His course.

If you ask God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, what is the secret to your life? He will tell you, simply seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added to you. One seed, one soil, great tree, that is the equation for greatness in the Kingdom.

I will like you to understand that God is no respecter of persons, if you dedicate your life to Him, He glorifies your life for you.
I pray again this morning that as this Sanctuary is dedicated, may your life become dedicated to Him.

Furthermore, God’s word tells us every Believer is a seed of Abraham with a seed with a destiny of global impact but until a seed is sown or dedicated, it has no future.
The Bible makes us to understand very clearly that you and I, we are Abraham’s seeds but we are also told concerning Abraham in Genesis 22:16-18. But for you to enjoy the blessings of Abraham, there is a demand, and that demand is the demand of dedication.

Abraham was dedicated and the outcome of it was a life of global relevance. Till tomorrow, Abraham remains relevant on the earth. You find the footprints of the blessings of Abraham upon the earth, in fact God’s word tells us, when you want to describe the blessing, the description is Abraham’s.

That is why when God wanted to describe the highest blessing available to a Believer in Galatians 3:13-14. John 8:39, it was Abraham’s blessing. So global relevance is the product of dedication. Those who are dedicated to their course are the ones that begin to shine as stars.

The moment you settle down with God, He settles your life forever.

Furthermore, we were made to understand in the account of Jesus, Jesus was dedicated and the outcome was elevation. Philippians 2:5-11.

Everything bowed to Him because of dedication. Hebrews 12:2. He was planted in death and He was seated in authority. That is why until you are planted in dedication, don’t expect to be seated in glorification. Jesus provided for us the pattern to follow.

And I pray for you that the grace to follow that pattern comes upon us this morning in Jesus Precious Name.
