THE ENEMY USUALLY MAKES US TO FORGET WHAT WE OUGHT TO REMEMBER AND MAKES US TO REMEMBER WHAT WE OUGHT TO FORGET.
THE ONLY WAY TO ‘FORGET NOT’ IS TO REMEMBER. IT IS IMPORTANT TO DOCUMENT, TO RECOUNT AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE FOR YOU.
WHATEVER HAS REFUSED TO COME OUT SINCE THIS YEAR BEGAN, IN THIS 11TH HOUR OF THE YEAR, IT IS TIME TO SAY, “FATHER, CONCERNING THAT SITUATION, I THANK YOU.”
NO MATTER HOW CLOSE THE END OF THE YEAR MIGHT BE, 2021 IS OUR YEAR OF SUPERNATURAL TURNAROUND. WHATSOEVER IS STILL REMAINING TO TURN IN YOUR LIFE, THAT HAS NOT TURNED YET, THERE SHALL BE NO CROSSING OVER TO 2022.
WE DON’T WAIT FOR PROPHECIES TO COME TO PASS, WE WAR WITH PROPHECIES. WE CAN WAR THROUGH THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING.
-Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo at CHoP
Father, we stand here today in Your presence with hearts of gratitude for a wonderful week. For this last day of this week, we are here to say thank You. Father, for all these amazing testimonies, You are the Doer, take all the praise. We decree they shall be permanent. Anyone desiring any of these kinds of testimonies, Lord, let their own also come speedily. Thank You for answered prayers both corporately and personally. We give You all the praise. Right now, our hearts are opened unto You, send us Your Word again. Meet each one of us at the very points of our needs. Let Your name be glorified and we give You all the glory, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
All through this week in our Covenant Hour of Prayer, we have been looking at this subject captioned:
ENGAGING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING FOR FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY
This morning, as we round up for this week, let’s take our text from 1 Timothy chapter 1 verse 18.
May the Lord bless the reading of His Word in our hearts in Jesus name.
By way of reminder this morning, let’s never forget that whatsoever God has promised you as an individual from His Word, He is not only able to bring it to pass but He is more than able. Whatever God has said to you in His Word, He has more than what it takes to make that Word of promise and prophecy come to pass. We are in the 11th hour of the year, few minutes more to go and then we shall be in the crowning month of the year. However, no matter how close the end of the year might be, God has already declared concerning you and I that this year 2021 shall be our Year of Supernatural Turnaround.
-Therefore, whatsoever is still remaining to turn in your life, that has not turned yet, there shall be no crossing over.
-It shall surely come to pass.
However, for that to happen, just like we see in the scripture we read a while ago, we don’t wait for prophecies to come to pass, we war with prophecies. One major way we war with prophecies is by engaging the power of thanksgiving. That is one major way by which we war with prophecies and we have been taking a look on how to engage the power of thanksgiving to ensure prophecies come to pass in our lives.
This morning, we shall be taking the example of Jesus Christ who is our perfect example.
Jesus declared, “the hour has come when the dead shall hear his voice and live” – John 5:25
When is the hour? Now. That was the Word of prophecy, He declared it and of course this prophetic verdict was fulfilled at the grave of Lazarus when Jesus called him back to life – John 11:40-44
Jesus looked up to Heaven and He said, “Father, I thank thee because You have heard Me” – John 11:41
Even though that prophetic Word had gone ahead, He had to engage the power of thanksgiving to make it to come to pass.
“Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard Me” – John 11:41. Not that “You will…”, You have already heard Me, even though Lazarus is still in the grave, stinking, over 3 days, yet I know, I believe, I am confident that You have already heard Me. Therefore, I thank thee.
-Therefore, this morning, whatever might seem to be dead and stinking and has remained in the grave and has refused to come out since this year began, this 11th hour of the year is the time to say, “Father, concerning that situation, I thank You.”

It doesn’t matter how stinking it might be, staring you in the face and the enemy harassing you saying, “well, if God wants to do it for you, He would have done it by now. Why don’t you just forget that one, I mean, just wait for next year. If God has not done it now, He can do it another time.” No.

Stand your ground, Jesus did. Even though that prophetic Word had come through Him and yet Lazarus was in the grave stinking.
-Whatever might be stinking around you right now, it will still come out.
-It will not only come out, even all the gates closed that might be round it, shall be forcefully and supernaturally removed.
-Every stinking area of anyone’s life under the sound of my voice that will dare to say “Father, I thank You from the depth of the heart will undergo a supernatural turnaround.”
-It happened for Jesus, it will happen for you and I.
Romans 4:17 – “…even God, who quickeneth the dead…”
Not that He quickened, He did it before, but He can do it again. He did it before and He is doing it again. If only we will engage the same weapon of thanksgiving. God still quickens the dead today. He did it before, but He is still doing it today.
-And He will do it in your life. If only you and I will engage the power of thanksgiving.
Of course, we have heard several testimonies of how God keeps quickening the dead. Even though those who have been physically dead. Remember the testimony of a young man that was put in the morgue and had been embalmed over 24 hours. How many of us remember that testimony? The brother knelt beside hm and said, “Jesus Christ is here.” He came back to life.
-I don’t know which ever way of your life that you might have been stinking and for how long, but the good news is that aspect shall come back to life.
-My Father, I thank You because You have heard me.
I want to enjoin you this morning, especially as we round up this week. Let’s make time to make reference especially to the prophetic declaration for the Winners family for this year. Go through it, what are those things and those areas in your life personally that seems as if those prophetic words have not come to pass. It will yet happen.
PRACTICAL TIPS
A few of them, to make our thanksgiving. Please remember that thanksgiving is 2-fold.

  1. You are thanking God for what He has done.
  2. You are giving Him the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Thanking Him in advance for what is yet to be done – Hebrews 13:15
There is a sacrifice of thanksgiving and there is thanking God for what He has done. Let’s continue to engage these 2 types of thanksgiving.

To make our thanksgiving practical, please remember the following:

  1. Lay it to heart: That is where it begins from – Malachi 2:1-2
It begins with laying to heart. God’s servant has said over and again, if it is in your heart, God will make it happen for you. Qualitative and acceptable thanksgiving begins from the heart, not just with the lips.
  2. After laying it to heart, what do you do? Recount His goodness to you. You can even make time to document them, you can make time to write them down.

Psalm 103:2 –“…forget not all His benefits.” The enemy more often than not makes us to forget what we ought to remember and makes us to remember what we ought to forget.
Let’s not forget not. The only way to forget not is to remember. To remember, it is important to document, to recount and by so doing, you will be surprised at what the Lord has done for you.

  1. We must also put it to words: words of appreciation, words of thanksgiving. Like Jesus said, “Father, I thank thee.”
Put it to words, let God hear your voice of appreciation and thanksgiving – Psalm 30:4
“Sing unto the Lord” – It is very easy to go with the flow when we are in public, but in your privacy, do you sing unto God? Your singing and my singing should not end in public, in Church, in Services, in fellowships. It should be both public and private. We also do that through singing.
Of course, very importantly, we must never forget this other aspect. Through testimonies.
Psalm 105:1 – This is one major reason we share testimonies. This morning we heard 2 testimonies of God’s marvellous acts in the lives of His people, just like you and I.
-You have been listening to other people sharing their testimonies, before the end of this year, they will hear your own.
The only way they will hear your own is by you sharing your own. You have seen His finger share the testimony and as you do so you will see His outstretched arm. ‘
That leper, after he saw that he was healed, returned and gave glory to God – Luke 17:15. By so doing, He was made whole. Don’t wait until you are made whole, you have been healed, come forth, share your testimony and then wholeness will answer for you.
Therefore, as we round up this year, let’s make time to share the good news of what God has done for you and I already. We have every time in Service, the email address where you can send your testimonies to. You don’t even have to wait for that, we have Winners Satellite Fellowship this evening for example, share your testimonies among your brethren.
Your own subgroup, your unit: share your testimony.
As you meet people one on one: share your testimony.
-As you do so, you will begin to see God’s hand being outstretched to you in Jesus name.
Finally, remember you can give thanks to God in your understanding, but the Bible says, “He that giveth thanks in the spirit, doeth it well” – 1 Corinthians 14:15, 17
-Grace to thank God well, more than ever before, beginning from this month, receive it in Jesus name.
Finally, thanksgiving and praise will keep the Church of Christ growing continuously.
-That has been our experience in this Commission and as we continue to engage the power of thanksgiving, continuous growth will begin to answer for us in Jesus name.
    Acts 2:46-47
-Therefore, from this moment forward, as you and I continue to give God quality thanks, daily addition will be our portion. Both as individuals and together as a Church family in Jesus name.
Prayers: Thank Him, lay it to heart, give it words, do it in your understanding, do it in the Holy Ghost. You have the opportunity this last day of the week. Let Him hear your voice. Don’t just mutter words, thank Him profusely. Give Him praise and glory now.
