_As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. John 6:57 KJV_
When Jesus came to this world as a man, He didn’t come by Himself or for Himself, He came by the Father and live by the Father, that is, Jesus lived because of His Father; this is not just living for the purpose of the Father, but living because the Father lives and gave Him the same life: the Father was the source of His life, that’s why He said, _”As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father…”_
In the beginning when God made man, He gave him instructions, told him what to do, what he should eat and not eat, but man disobeyed and as a result died as God had said he would if he goes against the instruction given him to do the only thing He told him not to do. From that time that Adam and Eve died, all men were born dead, spiritually dead, but continued to live physically because of the blood running in his veins. He died to God, and was separated from God, but had the life of the blood which is no real life at all but a mere existence.
Man continued to exist until Jesus came to his rescue. When Jesus came, He took man’s sins upon Himself, became sin and died. At the time He took man’s sins upon Himself, He released His spirit because He had to die, that was the punishment for the sins of man, so Jesus died.
Jesus died because of sin, but on the third day, He was raised back to life, and made the same life with which He was raised back to life available to all men. By receiving His life, we come into Him and begin to live again. Receiving Jesus puts an end to our spiritual death and we begin to live again.
Our life is from Jesus, we are alive because Jesus is alive, and we would continue to live because He lives forever. Our scriptural text in The Passion Translation said, _ “The Father of life sent me, and he is my life. In the same way, the one who feeds upon me, I will become his life.”
Then, we were separated from the Father, but because Jesus lives right now in the presence of the Father, we also live in the presence of the Father because of Jesus, no more separation, but oneness, one big family; He said, _Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me. _Jesus lives, He is the life in me, now I live because He lives; yes! I am full of life, the abundant life of God; that life of God works in me right and and always, causing me to live in victory, and in perfect health. Hallelujah!_
