Scripture :Ecclesiastes 10: 10. If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.

Beloved, I welcome you again to another Moment of Daily Encounter! God desires His children to rise in life and destiny hence He made us leaders! However, to rise up to the demands of leadership requires wisdom!

That is the vehicle that takes men to their desired height in life! To ignore wisdom is be grounded!

Today, we shall be looking at wisdom for building great careers as well as wisdom for the work place.

What is wisdom for leadership in workplace /careers?

A. Daniel as a case study
1. Always protect the interest of your organization( Dan. 6:2); Daniel defended the kingdom that employed him.

Dear leader, wisdom demands you protect all that pertains to the organization that employed you. Don’t work against the organization that is feeding you.

2. Deploy excellence (Dan. 6:3): Daniel gave his best to serve the kingdom that engaged him. He served with excellence and dignity.

Wisdom demands you give out your best. When you give out your best excellence is born.

And we understand that excellence humbles racism, tribalism, gender discrimination etc. You can’t stand out and be ignored in whatever capacity you find yourself.

3. Be known for integrity (Dan. 6:4): Daniel was a leader with integrity in his work station. Everybody knew what he stood for, there was no room for compromise.

Dear leader, in your career and duty post wisdom demands you are upright, stand out above your contemporary and celebrate every success with integrity. Don’t join the team of fraudsters that often defraud their organization.

4. Refuse under-performance (Dan. 6:4): Daniel was known to exceed expectation. So when they searched for occasion against him, there was none.

Dear leader, if you permit under performance in your life, when it is time to downsize, it is those with under performance that are oftentimes downsized. Wisdom demands you don’t give your enemies opportunity by living a life of mediocrity.

Beloved, when Daniel deployed the above wisdom, he rose up to authority in his days. Every administration needed the service of Daniel.

For 70years Daniel was indispensable! You are the Daniel of this generation.

B. David as a case study;
1. Be responsible (1Sam16:11): David was a responsible young man. Among his brothers he was the only person who was not dodging assignment.

Dear leader, wisdom demands you are not dodging duty because those who will not accept responsibility die as liabilities.

Never allow your employer to perceive you as someone who dodges work. If you are seen as such, you earn your name on the black book of your master.

2. Do what others avoid(1Sam.17:48): While others were avoiding to confront Goliath, David came out boldly to challenge him.

Dear leader, you don’t shine by doing what everyone is doing, it is doing what others avoid that produces your distinction.

Wisdom demands you do what others shy away from, because that is the secret of shinning in the workplace. Others were running away from Goliath, but David ran towards him.

C. Jacob as a case study;
1. Be diligent (Gen. 31:38-40): Wisdom demands you eliminate indolence and put in your best. Your input determines your output. Those who take things casually end up as casualties.

Beloved, you can mirror your life in the light of this word! Our anchor scripture reveals that wisdom is profitable to direct!

Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real, your decision for eternity is best made while living! Jesus loves you!

Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today,
