NO MATTER WHAT YOUR PURSUIT OF GOD COSTS YOU, IT WILL PAY YOU MORE THAN IT COSTS YOU.

YOU CANNOT HAVE TIME FOR GOD WITHOUT MAKING OUTSTANDING MARKS UPON THE EARTH.
-Pastor David Oyedepo Jr at CHoP

* There are packages of breakthroughs in serving God but it is only for the consistent.
* Only those who are planted in service will rise up to manifest the glory of God.
* The seed cannot crack the rock, but the tree can crack the rock.
* There are things that are too hard for you, but just get planted.
* When you get planted, the hard rocks begin to crack on your behalf.

Our Father this morning we have come to give glory and praise to your name. We celebrate You because You have done all things well. Now Father, we ask of You this morning that You will speak to us by Your Word. Let everyone of us be transformed and changed. We give You the praise and the glory for it, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our line of exhortation for this week has been:
ONE CANNOT HAVE A HEART FOR GOD AND NOT HAVE TIME FOR HIM
Proverbs 23:26
According to God’s Word therefore, when your heart is fully invested, you cannot claim not to be interested in what matters to God. It is all a matter of the heart. How much of your heart goes toward God determines how much of your time will go towards God. It is a matter of the heart. We began looking at some case studies in scriptures of some individuals whose hearts went after God. We started yesterday with the example of Abraham and this morning we are going to go further looking at the example of Job.
Job was a business man of great status, but the Bible tells us in Job chapter 1 verses 1 and 3, he was the greatest of all men of the east. We are talking about a man of great status, a man of unusual status, a man of unique substance but the Bible describes him as one who feared God and one who eschewed evil. Concerning sacrifices, the Bible tells us in verse 5 (Job 1) about how he offered sacrifices continually. He was a man of consistent practice. In Job chapter 29, we come across the practice of Job from verse 4 to 17. He began to talk about how he was a blessing consistently to all that were around him: he was the help to the widow, the eye to the blind, feet to the lame, all of these things and this Job did consistently or continually.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Consistency of practice. That was the lifestyle of Job. He became the greatest of all men in the east.
There is no greatness that should be a distraction from your stewardship.
There should be no increase that should be a diversion from your consistency.
There is no position that should eliminate your continuous pursuit of God.
You must understand that if your heart is with God, your time will go to God. Job was a man of greatness, yet he had time to serve God. Not only to serve him occasionally but to serve Him consistently. That is the question you and I must ask. The question really is this:
What is it that is taking your time? That is not allowing you to serve God?
Whatever takes your time from God has become god to you.
Job was a man that gave his time to God, no matter what God brought his way. As a result of that, we discover he became a man of unusual greatness.
The Bible says, satan said, “you have blessed him, you have caused him to have a hedge around him, you have caused him to enjoy good on every side. He said, touch anything around him, he will curse you as God” – Job 1:10
God said: This Job, he is not like that. He is not like anybody else that you see on the earth. He is a man who is committed to Me wholeheartedly.
As a result of that commitment of his heart, Job became great upon the earth.
-I see each one of us today receiving grace to remain committed from the heart in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let’s take note of these points quickly this morning. We need a heart for God to fulfill our glorious destiny.
Psalm 34:10
“…they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing”: they will not struggle for any good thing. Their heart is after God. You must understand that your greatest advantage is your pursuit of God. In your journey to the fulfillment of destiny, your greatest advantage is your pursuit of God.
Isaiah 40:30-31
“They wait upon the Lord”: Waiters are stewards.
“They wait upon the Lord”: And as a result of that, they will mount up with wings, they will scale heights. If you are going to fulfill your glorious destiny upon the earth. Your pursuit of God is your ultimate advantage.
Why is that so? Because a man whose heart goes after God has all things working together for his good – Romans 8:28
When your heart is after God, no matter the orchestration of hell, it is still organized for your good. You see satan cannot outwit God, satan cannot outsmart God. While satan is scheming, God is using the obstacles for higher grounds, for those who are genuine lovers of God. That is why your heart for God, your pursuit of God is the ultimate in giving you the advantage in the journey of destiny.
John 2:23-26
The hour for glory has come, but the pathway to glory is dedicated service. When you are dedicated in serving God, you are positioned for the glory of God. That is the secret, that is the key, that is what it takes. So for the fulfillment of your glorious destiny, you and I must understand we have a responsibility to commit ourselves in the service of God. You may be sowed insignificant but you cannot grow insignificant. Those who are sown to serve God grow up in glory.
-Your destiny keeps flourishing from level to level. I see that becoming somebody’s experience here in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

To fulfill your glorious destiny, you need a heart for God. While it is true that every child of God is ordained for glory, that glory cannot be manifested until such individuals are planted in dedicated service. Those who are planted in service will rise up to manifest the glory of God.
-I see that becoming somebody’s experience here in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
What we are saying in conclusion is this, that one cannot have time for God without making outstanding marks upon the earth.
Job 1:3
Job was the greatest of all men in the east. Though he was tested, though he was confronted, though he was resisted, though he seemed as if at a particular point he seemed have suffered particular losses; the Bible tells us in Job chapter 42 verses 10 to 12, that the Lord turned the captivity of Job and made twice as great as he was before.
He was the greatest in the east before, now he was twice the greatest by reason of the blessing of God. I will like you to understand this, this morning. No matter what it is that your pursuit of God costs you, it will pay you more than it costs you. No matter what it costs you.
Job stayed consistent with God and no matter what it seemed like it cost him, what it paid him was far beyond what it cost him. I’ll like you to understand therefore this morning, there is a blessing in serving God. There are packages of breakthroughs in serving God but it is only for the consistent.
God’s charge to you and to me is:
Be dedicated in serving Him and watch what He makes of you!!
In nature, there is no tree that is smaller than the seed that grows it. Your life is a seed, just plant it in dedication and it will rise in glory!!

We are going to take grace this morning, grace from God to be dedicated in serving God. Look at the testimony we heard this morning, somebody said he joined the Commission since 2005 but was only going to Sunday Service. 2005 and only attending Sunday Service: no commitment, no dedication and then suddenly he said, “he decided, not only will I be committed but every Covenant Hour of Prayer, I will always be there” and began engaging. It is from that year that he said there was no crisis from the start of the year to that point. You see the touch of God upon your life cannot be visible until you are committed. He has been there since 2005. He said it was that year (of going for Covenant Hour of Prayer) from January to that point, that they didn’t register in hospital. Which means from 2005 to the point of testimony, hospital was a regular occurrence. Till that point, crisis was a normal occurrence, but the moment he got planted and dedicated, suddenly, he began to experience the glory of God.
You see, it is that commitment that makes the difference.

Somebody said, “HIV was consuming this individual”, burning with it but yet kept committed and without even knowing, symptoms were still there but went for the test for the first time, HIV negative.
“Haah, what is this?” Went for the test the third time: HIV negative.
God cleared the mountain on the path of dedication.
I will like you to understand there is nothing that cannot be cleared off your path, just get committed.
There is no way you can compare the strength of a seed with the strength of a tree. You can’t compare them. If you look at the pathway around the Tabernacle, you will discover something. There are trees that were planted and have been growing and are breaking concrete. No seed can break concrete, but when you plant it and it begins to grow, it begins to break it. If you plant a seed in a rocky place, it will shock you there are trees that grow on rocks. They are planted there, the roots begin to penetrate and crack the rock. The seed cannot crack the rock, but the tree begins to crack the rock.
You see there are things that are too hard for you, but just get planted. When you get planted, the hard rocks begin to crack on your behalf.
-I see that becoming somebody’s testimony in the name of Jesus Christ.

PRAYERS: Lord, I receive grace to be dedicated in service. I receive that grace this morning, to be dedicated, to be planted, to be committed. Not to be seasonal or occasional but to be dedicated in my stewardship, in my service, in the pursuit of the lost. I receive that grace.
Take that grace from God right now. The grace for commitment for dedication, for consistency in stewardship. Lord, I receive it. I receive that grace this morning, let it come afresh upon me. Grace oh Lord, let it come afresh upon my life, in the name of Jesus. Thank You Lord Jesus, blessed be your holy name, in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
By this morning’s encounter, the grace to maintain dedication in your stewardship comes afresh upon your life. You will no longer be hot and cold. Your life will remain consistently fervent, in the name of the Lord Jesus. So shall it be, in Jesus precious name. It is done.

SPEAK TO THE DAY
Another day is here, another opportunity, will you speak to the day right now and make your declaration concerning the day. Speak to the day right now. You shall decree a thing, it shall be established. Speak right now to the day. You are speaking in faith, you are speaking with confidence. You shall decree and God will establish what you decree. Thank You Lord, blessed be your holy name, in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
-This day is declared blessed.
-I declare that concerning you and all that pertains to you, this day remains a day of testimonies.
-No evil is permitted to befall you.
-No evil tidings are permitted to come your way.
-By every channel of communication, whether it is text messages, phone calls, letters, emails, all through the day, it shall be good news, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-As you go today, go under the covering of Heaven’s favour.
-I command doors to be opened on your behalf today, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-It will be a day of profitable engagement for you.
-All that you do today will work on your behalf. So shall it be for you, in Jesus precious name we have prayed.
It is done.
