Spread the love

-Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo at CHoP
*Whatever that testimony may be that you are looking up to God for, for a long time, this season, it shall be cheaply delivered into your hand.
Again this morning, Father, we thank You for these amazing testimonies, You are the Doer. Accept our thanksgiving in Jesus name. We decree they shall be permanent. Anyone believing You for this kind of testimonies, Lord, let their own also be established. Thank You for answered prayers today, corporately, personally; accept our thanksgiving. Right now, as we go into Your Word, visit us again, change our story again. Give us understanding and let your name be glorified. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
In our Covenant Hour of Prayer, all through this week, our subject of consideration is captioned:
Can we personalize it, “Every commandment of scriptures is for my profiting!”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“…instruction in righteousness”
Every commandment of scriptures is for my profiting.
1 John 5:3 – His commandments are not grievous. They are not grieve us, they are to groom us.
On Monday, we were taken through the commandment on Love.
On Tuesday, the commandment of Fellowship.
Yesterday, the commandment of Association.
And this morning we take a look at one other commandment from scriptures and that is the sanctification commandment.
No assumption: What is sanctification? Simply defined, it is a state or process of being set apart or made holy. Clearly, we all remember, all through last month, we were taken through several teachings on this subject of godliness or sanctification.
-By the grace of God, none of us will return back to our vomit in Jesus name.
Very importantly, among several other things we were taught last month on the subject of godliness and sanctification, you must never forget that sanctification or godliness is the only thing that follows you and I to eternity. It is the only factor that determines where you and I will spend eternity.
-We shall not spend eternity groaning, but rather we shall spend it shining and reigning with Him forever. You will be there!!
Turn to your neighbour, tell him or her, “You will be there.”
Sanctification: Two things I want us to look at briefly this morning about, is that:

  1. Sanctification is the will of God for every believer including you and I.
If it is the will of God, then it must be your will and my will as well. Please remember very clearly, wherever there is a will, there will be a way. If there is no will, then it becomes to find a way.
    1 Thessalonians 4:3-4,7
Your sanctification, my sanctification is the will of God. Therefore, it must continue to be your will, so that God will continue to make a way.
Among other things very clearly, sanctification makes us pure in heart and when our hearts are pure, it enables our acts also to become pure.
Sanctification makes us pure in heart, which translates into pureness in our acts, but it must be your will before God will make a way.
    Leviticus 20:7 – sanctify yourselves.
So it takes you and I being ready to submit ourselves unto God for sanctification. No one else can sanctify another person on his or her behalf. No spouse, no wife can sanctify herself on behalf of the husband. No husband can sanctify himself on behalf of the wife. No parent can do that on behalf of the children. Sanctification is a personal, non-transferrable responsibility.

-The grace of God to continue to make ourselves available and sanctified unto the Almighty God, until we draw our last breath, may it remain our portion in Jesus name.
So sanctification is God’s will for every believer and that includes you and I.

-We will not fail God in Jesus name.

  1. Sanctification is a choice; it is not a gift.
Say with me, “Sanctification is a choice.” It is a choice and not a gift.
Matthew 5:6 – “thirst after righteousness…” In other words, sanctification. It doesn’t jump on people. People who want it, they have to hunger and to thirst after it and the Bible says clearly there, “they shall be filled.”
What a joy, thank God, this week is our Week of Spiritual Emphasis, as you wait on the Lord in prayers and fasting, you hunger and thirst after righteousness, after sanctification which must become our way of life on a daily basis ensuring that the things that we used to do that are bad we don’t do them anymore.
Remember that song: 🎶🎶The things I used to do, I do them no more (3x). There is a great change since I saw the light. 🎶🎶
-The grace will be multiplied upon each one’s life in Jesus name.
Deuteronomy 30:19 – “…choose life.” In other words, choose sanctification that you and your seed may live.
-Life in abundance will be your portion in Jesus name.
    Philippians 3:14
-Grace to keep pressing for sanctification and more and more of godliness, receive it in Jesus name.
What is the profiting in the commandment of sanctification?
  2. It entitles us to profitable living
-May that be your portion and my portion from this day forward.
Psalm 5:12 – Profitable living becomes our portion as part of the profiting of sanctification, godliness and holiness.
“Thou O Lord, will bless the sanctified, bless the godly, bless the righteous.”
-May the blessings of the Almighty God continue to multiply upon your life in Jesus name.
When God blesses, who can curse? For no one can curse whom the Lord has blessed.
-As you walk in sanctification, grace to continue to enjoy all round profitable living, may it become your portion in Jesus name.

Remember the testimonies we heard this morning: 6 years of barrenness terminated and then 6 years of joblessness terminated.

Those are all of the blessings that come to us as you walk in obedience to God’s Word.
-Whatever that testimony may be that you are looking up to God for, for a long time, this season, it shall be cheaply delivered into your hand.

  1. Another profiting that we derive from sanctification commandment is access to all of our inheritance in Christ.
    Psalm 84:11
-From today, as you keep obeying the commandment of sanctification, no good thing shall be withheld from you anymore.
Good health is good, isn’t it?
Good job is good. Good finance is good. Good sleep in the night is good. Peace, joy, happiness, promotion, progress, protection, provision, the things that money cannot buy. Think of any good thing in life, it’s one of the things that you can access by obeying the commandment of sanctification.
-You shall no longer be denied.

In closing, Acts chapter 20 verse 32
Acts 20:32 – Those who live sanctified lives have access to God’s inheritance.
-You and I will access and enjoy your inheritance in Christ, in Jesus name.
Finally, remember our obedience of faith is what qualifies our access to the profits of the commandment of scriptures.
-Grace to live lives of obedience, much more than ever before, receive it afresh this morning in Jesus name.
Prayers: Receive that grace more than ever before. Say, “Lord, baptize me with the spirit of obedience of faith so I can access all that you have for me as part of the profit of sanctification.”

Receive that grace from God. The sanctification commandment: grace to keep on obeying it on a daily basis, on a regular basis in all that you do, receive that grace right now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we receive a fresh baptism of the grace to begin to obey the sanctification commandment much more than ever before. Thank You Father for it, in Jesus mighty name we pray.
Thank Him for releasing that grace to you right now.
